The Oase ProfiClear Premium XL Moving Bed Module – Hel-X is a high capacity biological filtration chamber designed specifically for integration within the ProfiClear Premium XL modular system. It provides intensive nitrification for large koi ponds, ornamental ponds and commercial aquatic installations. As a result, it helps maintain stable water parameters in heavily stocked and high demand environments.

Positioned after the mechanical drum stage, this module focuses entirely on biological filtration. Therefore, it plays a key role in reducing ammonia, ammonium and nitrite before water returns to the pond. In large koi systems, this stage is essential for long term fish health and consistent clarity.

Suitable for ornamental ponds up to 530,000 litres and koi ponds up to 100,000 litres, the XL Hel-X Moving Bed Module is engineered for estate lakes, professional pond builds and serious koi installations. Consequently, it delivers the biological strength required in systems with substantial fish loads.

Advanced Hel-X Moving Bed Technology

This configuration houses 100 litres of Oase Hel-X biomedia. Unlike fixed media systems, Hel-X operates within a fully aerated moving bed chamber. As a result, the media remains in constant motion, which supports consistent oxygen exposure and strong bacterial activity.

Because the media is fluidised, beneficial bacteria receive continuous oxygenation. Therefore, nitrification performance remains efficient and stable. In addition, the moving bed process helps prevent clogging and supports long term biological reliability without channeling or dead zones.

Modular XL System Integration

The ProfiClear Premium XL Moving Bed Module – Hel-X connects directly to the ProfiClear Premium XL Drum Filter and can be combined with further XL modules where required. As a result, biological capacity can be scaled in line with pond size and stocking density.

Furthermore, the module integrates with the Oase Easy Garden Control system. Therefore, installers can monitor system performance digitally via the Oase Control app. Because of this modular architecture, pond professionals can design fully customised, expandable filtration systems for large scale installations.
