Advanced Static Biological Filtration for Large Ponds

The Oase ProfiClear Premium XL Standing Bed Module – ClearWave is a high capacity biological filtration chamber designed for integration within the ProfiClear Premium XL modular system. It provides intensive biological polishing for large koi ponds, ornamental ponds and commercial aquatic installations. As a result, it helps maintain exceptional water clarity and stable water parameters in demanding environments.

Positioned after the moving bed stage, this module focuses on fine biological filtration and water polishing. Therefore, it plays an important role in breaking down remaining ammonia, ammonium, nitrite and nitrate while improving overall water quality. In larger systems, this stage enhances clarity and supports long term pond balance.

Suitable for ornamental ponds up to 530,000 litres and koi ponds up to 100,000 litres, the XL Standing Bed Module is built for estate lakes, professional pond builds and high performance koi systems. Consequently, it provides an additional layer of biological filtration where water quality needs to be kept consistently high.

High Density ClearWave Biological Filtration

This module is filled with Oase ClearWave Blocks arranged in a structured honeycomb formation. As a result, it creates an extremely large and stable surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonise.

Unlike moving media, the ClearWave Blocks remain static. Therefore, water is forced evenly through the media structure, allowing for effective contact time and consistent biological breakdown. In addition, this design supports the removal of finer dissolved waste that may pass through earlier filtration stages.

Because of the high density media arrangement, the Standing Bed Module acts as a polishing stage. Consequently, it improves water clarity while continuing the breakdown of harmful compounds within the system.

Enhanced Oxygenation and System Performance

The module includes an integrated aeration inlet which allows air to be introduced directly into the chamber. As a result, oxygen levels within the media are increased, supporting stronger bacterial activity.

This additional oxygen supply helps beneficial bacteria work more efficiently. Therefore, the biological filtration process becomes more effective and stable over time. In larger ponds with higher stocking levels, this added oxygenation is particularly beneficial.

Furthermore, improved oxygen levels help prevent anaerobic conditions within the media. As a result, long term reliability and filtration performance are maintained.

Modular XL System Integration

The ProfiClear Premium XL Standing Bed Module connects directly to other modules within the ProfiClear Premium XL system. It is typically positioned after the Moving Bed Module to provide an additional biological polishing stage.

Because of its modular design, multiple biological modules can be added if required. Therefore, filtration capacity can be scaled to suit larger ponds or higher fish loads.

In addition, the system integrates with the Oase Easy Garden Control platform. As a result, performance can be monitored digitally using the Oase Control app. This allows for greater control and visibility across complex pond systems.
