The Oase Bitron Eco 240 Watt UVC is the highest output model in the Bitron Eco range. It is designed for very large koi ponds, heavily stocked systems and commercial water features where maximum ultraviolet performance and intelligent energy management are critical.

This high capacity unit removes suspended algae, reduces harmful bacteria and significantly improves overall water clarity, even in installations with high turnover and heavy biological demand. Because of its enlarged irradiation chamber and intelligent bypass regulation, it maintains optimal exposure time at flow rates up to 50000 litres per hour. As a result, it delivers powerful and consistent clarification across large scale systems.

Advanced Eco Control and Energy Efficiency

Unlike conventional UV clarifiers, the Bitron Eco 240W features intelligent eco control technology. The system automatically adjusts irradiation output based on seasonal requirements. Therefore, it increases performance during peak algae periods and reduces power consumption when demand is lower.

As a result, energy usage can be reduced by up to 50% without compromising algae control. Consequently, long term running costs remain significantly lower compared to traditional fixed output UV units.

The system uses advanced 60 watt UVC lamp technology developed in collaboration with Philips. These lamps offer an extended operating life of up to 12000 hours, which is approximately 50% longer than standard UV bulbs. In turn, servicing intervals are extended and bulb replacement frequency is reduced.

High Volume Irradiation and Intelligent Flow Regulation

A high volume UVC housing increases water retention time within the irradiation chamber. Therefore, water receives longer ultraviolet exposure, improving treatment of suspended algae, turbidity and harmful microorganisms.

In addition, the automatic bypass regulation system adapts internal water distribution to match changing flow rates. This ensures consistent irradiation performance whether the system operates at minimum flow or full capacity.

The patented automatic cleaning rotor continuously prevents debris and limescale from settling on the quartz sleeves. Consequently, UV transmission remains strong and manual cleaning is rarely required.

Furthermore, lamp replacement is simple and does not require dismantling the quartz glass. This significantly reduces maintenance time and simplifies servicing procedures.

The integrated digital display provides real time information including lamp status and water temperature. With IP68 protection, the unit can be installed directly beside the pond or within filtration chambers without additional protective housing.

Use the Bitron Eco 240 W within a compatible pond-filtration circuit and keep the actual flow through the UVC within Oase’s published 10,000–50,000 litres per hour range. Its automatic bypass adapts water distribution as flow changes, while the cleaning rotor helps keep the quartz glass clear. The Eco controller regulates irradiation duration to seasonal demand. Check the lamp-status and water-temperature indicators, and service the lamps and quartz glass in accordance with Oase’s instructions.
