The Oase BioSmart 24000 Pond Filter Set is a powerful gravity return filtration system designed for larger garden ponds, goldfish ponds and lightly stocked koi ponds. Unlike pressurised filters, the BioSmart range operates as a flow through box filter. As a result, it offers generous biological capacity, excellent oxygenation and reliable long term water stability.
This complete set includes a correctly matched pump and UV clarifier, ensuring balanced performance from day one. Therefore, it is ideal for new pond builds, filtration upgrades or replacing an outdated system.
The Oase BioSmart 24000 set is suitable for:
- Up to 24000 litres without fish
- Up to 12000 litres with goldfish
- Up to 6000 litres with koi
Intelligent Filtration and Simple Maintenance
The Oase BioSmart 24000 SET delivers both mechanical and biological filtration in a durable, UV resistant housing.
Water first enters the chamber via the Oase AquaMax Eco Classic 5500 pump. It then passes through nine layered filter foams:
- 4 blue coarse foams
- 4 red fine foams
- 1 green ultra fine foam
These foams trap debris while simultaneously providing a large surface area for beneficial bacteria. Consequently, ammonia and nitrite are broken down efficiently, helping to stabilise water chemistry and maintain fish health.
The system also includes an integrated pollution level indicator. This visual display shows clearly when maintenance is required, removing the guesswork from pond care.
Cleaning is quick and controlled. The in situ EasyClean handles allow you to compress all foams from outside the unit. As a result, trapped debris is flushed into the sludge drain without removing the sponges. In addition, the bottom sludge outlet with slide valve enables easy waste discharge.
A built in thermometer provides instant visibility of water temperature, which is particularly useful during seasonal changes.
For even greater biological performance, the filter can be paired with an Oase OxyTex pond aerator. When installed, OxyTex can increase biological efficiency by up to 25 percent by improving oxygen availability inside the chamber.
Complete Matched System with Pump and UV
The Oase BioSmart 24000 Pond Filter Set is supplied as a fully balanced filtration package. Water is pumped into the filter by the included Oase AquaMax Eco Classic 5500, ensuring correct flow rate and solids handling performance.
The system includes:
- Oase BioSmart 36000 flow through gravity filter
- Oase AquaMax Eco Classic 5500 pump
- Oase Vitronic 24W UV clarifier
- 5 metres of 38mm flexible hose
- 100ml BioKick filter starter
Once water passes through the filter foams, it is exposed to ultraviolet light within the Oase Vitronic 24W UV clarifier. This neutralises single celled algae responsible for green water, along with harmful bacteria and pathogens.
Filtered water then exits via gravity return through the DN 75 outlet back into the pond. Because this is a gravity discharge filter, it must be positioned above pond water level.
The result is a complete mechanical, biological and ultraviolet filtration system that works together as a balanced unit.
