The Evolution Aqua EazyPod Complete and Varipump 10000 kit is a compact mechanical and biological filtration package for garden ponds and lighter koi installations. It pairs the EazyPod Complete, with its built-in 18 watt UVC and included air pump, with the controllable Evolution Aqua Varipump 10000.
This is the practical EazyPod package for an owner who wants the filtration equipment matched but does not want to pay for a generic reel of hose that may be the wrong diameter or length. Choose the grey or granite green EazyPod at the same price, then plan the water connections around the actual pond.
Bundle value: The complete package is £864.95, saving £44.95 against buying the EazyPod Complete and Varipump 10000 separately.
What is included
- 1 × Evolution Aqua EazyPod Complete with built-in 18 watt UVC, selected in grey or granite green 1 × Evolution Aqua Varipump 10000 controllable pond pump The EazyPod Complete air pump and cleaning airline supplied with the filter
Why these parts work together
Evolution Aqua recommends around 5,000 litres per hour through an EazyPod and gives a maximum filter flow of 10,000 litres per hour. The Varipump 10000 provides enough headroom for lift and pipe resistance while its controller lets the finished flow be reduced to suit the filter and pond.
The static K1 Micro chamber traps suspended waste and provides biological surface. During cleaning, the included air pump agitates the media so dirt can be discharged. The built-in 18 watt UVC targets free-floating algae without adding a separate UVC body to a compact installation.
Choosing the right size for your pond
The headline maximum pond volume is 10,000 litres. Use a lower practical limit for koi, high feeding, direct sun or ponds with a heavy leaf load. A filter can be hydraulically within its limit and still be biologically overloaded if the daily food and fish mass are too high.
For best results, aim for a steady turnover rather than simply running the pump at maximum. The actual flow will be lower than the controller setting once lift and resistance are included. If the pond is approaching the filter limit or the owner expects to increase the koi stock, compare the Nexus 220 Titanium kit before committing.
Plan the installation before ordering
- Select suitable heavy duty pond hose, stainless hose clips and any reducers for the chosen pump position. For flows above 7,500 L/h, follow Evolution Aqua guidance and use a return of at least 110 mm. Keep every gravity return continuously falling and unrestricted. Install the pump where it can be removed for cleaning and protect the intake from large debris without starving it of water. Fit an isolation valve or removable union arrangement so the EazyPod can be cleaned and serviced without emptying long pipe runs. Provide a proper waste route. Dirty cleaning water should be discharged safely and must not be allowed to flow back towards the pond. Keep the air pump dry, ventilated and above water level, or use the protection specified by Evolution Aqua.
Hose and pipework are not included. This keeps the kit price focused on the equipment and lets you choose the correct lengths, diameters, valves and fittings for the actual installation.

Commissioning and routine care
Clean the EazyPod when the water level or return performance shows waste is building, rather than waiting for flow to collapse. Isolate the pond circuit, aerate the media during the cleaning cycle and discharge until the waste runs acceptably clear.
Check the UVC lamp and quartz, keep the pump cage clear and do not scrub biological media with untreated tap water. During the first weeks, monitor ammonia and nitrite and avoid increasing feeding faster than the media can mature.
Frequently asked questions
Does the EazyPod Complete include a UVC?
Yes. The Complete model in this package includes an 18 watt UVC.
Is an air pump included?
Yes. The EazyPod Complete includes the air pump used to agitate the media during cleaning.
Why pair it with a 10,000 L/h variable pump?
The controller provides enough capacity for installation losses and lets the delivered flow be adjusted to the EazyPod rather than relying on a fixed pump.
Should I run the pump at full power?
Not automatically. Set the pump from measured delivered flow, water level and filter performance. The recommended EazyPod flow is around 5,000 L/h.
Can I choose the filter colour?
Yes. Grey and granite green are offered at the same bundle price.
Is it suitable for koi?
It can serve smaller or lightly stocked koi ponds, but size it conservatively. Heavy feeding or planned stock growth may justify a Nexus system.
Can it be installed pump fed?
Yes. This kit is designed around a pump-fed water circuit with gravity return from the filter.
Does it include hose?
No. Hose, clips and fittings are selected separately because distance and diameter differ between ponds.
How often should the EazyPod be cleaned?
Frequency varies with season and waste. Check it regularly and clean before trapped solids restrict flow or begin breaking down.
Will the UVC clear every algae problem?
It controls free-floating green water algae. It does not remove attached blanket weed or correct excess nutrients and poor circulation.
