Evolution Aqua Nexus 220 Titanium Complete Filter Pump UV and Air Kit
This package turns the Nexus 220 Titanium into a complete working filtration system. It includes the filter with its integrated Titanium-enhanced UVCs, a genuine Nexus lid at no extra charge, a Varipump 10000 and an Airtech 75. An Airtech 95 upgrade and an extra 50 litres of genuine K+ media are available when the planned load justifies them.
The bundle is designed for pond owners who want the main equipment matched but still need the freedom to design the bottom drain, pumped feed, returns and valves around the actual pond.
Complete kit saving: The base package is £2,179.95, saving £242.90 against the current individual prices. The genuine Nexus 220 lid is included free.

How the Nexus 220 Titanium treats the pond
Eazy mechanical stage
Water enters the central Eazy chamber, where 18 litres of K1 Micro media trap suspended waste. During cleaning, air agitates this static media so the collected dirt can be discharged. Capturing solids in a dedicated stage prevents much of that material from entering the biological chamber.
K+ moving-bed biological stage
The outer chamber is supplied with 50 litres of K+ media. Continuous aeration keeps the media moving and provides oxygen for the bacteria that convert ammonia and nitrite. The Nexus 220 can hold up to 150 litres in total, but extra media only adds useful capacity when the whole bed still moves freely and receives enough air.
Integrated Titanium-enhanced UVC
Two 36 watt UV lamps are built into the outlet area, giving 72 watts in total. The Titanium-enhanced design increases exposure within the filter and avoids adding a separate external UVC body to the main pipe run. Lamp and quartz maintenance remain part of the normal service schedule.
Matched pump and air supply
The Varipump 10000 matches the filter’s stated maximum flow of 10,000 litres per hour and can be adjusted for the installed system. The Airtech 75 is the normal package choice for moving the supplied media. Choose the Airtech 95 where longer airline, extra resistance or the optional additional media calls for more air.
Should you add the extra 50 litres of K+ media?
The optional upgrade is 50 litres in addition to the media already supplied with the filter. It is useful when the future feeding and fish load need more biological surface, but it is not necessary for every installation. More media is not automatically better if it sits still.
After adding media, check that the entire bed rolls evenly without dead corners. The Airtech 95 upgrade is the sensible pairing when the extra media or airline resistance prevents the standard pump from producing an even moving bed.
Pond-size and flow guidance
Evolution Aqua rates the Nexus 220 Titanium for ponds up to 18,000 litres. That is a manufacturer maximum. A heavily stocked koi pond with high summer feeding may need a lower working volume, while a lightly stocked ornamental pond can be less demanding.
The filter can be installed gravity fed or pump fed. Gravity-fed layouts are common on purpose-built koi ponds because bottom drains carry solids directly to the filter and the pump handles cleaned water. Pump-fed layouts can be practical on an existing pond, but the filter must sit high enough for an unrestricted gravity return.
Installation planning
- Choose the layout before ordering pipe, valves and connectors
- Use suitably sized pressure pipe and flexible rubber connectors
- Fit accessible isolation valves so the Nexus and pump can be serviced
- Keep the Varipump accessible and set it from measured flow, not only the controller percentage
- Install the Airtech in a dry, ventilated position and route the airline without kinks
- Provide a dependable route for dirty cleaning water
Pipework and fittings are not included. Bottom drains, returns and distances differ too much for a generic plumbing pack to be good value.

Cleaning, maturation and routine care
Clean the Eazy stage before captured solids remain in the water for long periods. During the rinse, confirm that the air ring agitates the complete media bed and discharge waste until the water is acceptably clear. The biological chamber should roll evenly rather than boiling in one corner.
Test ammonia and nitrite while new media matures and after any significant increase in feeding. Preserve mature media during major servicing, clean the UVC quartz sleeves and replace lamps at the recommended interval.

Common questions
Is the lid really included free?
Yes. A genuine Nexus 220 lid is included in the base package without a separate charge.
Does the Titanium model already include UVC?
Yes. It contains two 36 watt Titanium-enhanced UV lamps.
Can the filter be gravity fed?
Yes. It supports gravity-fed and pump-fed layouts, but the pipe arrangement and operating level must match the chosen method.
