For a limited time, we are including approximately 100 litres of moving bed media with the Filtreau Combi-NEXT Pump Fed with Rinse Pump at no additional cost. This provides immediate biological capacity from installation and allows the system to stabilise faster under feeding load.
The Filtreau Combi-NEXT Pump-Fed with UVC and Internal Rinse Pump is a fully automated mechanical and biological filtration system designed for koi ponds up to 45m³, depending on stocking density. This version is specifically engineered for pump-fed installations where the filter sits above pond water level.
Water is pumped from the pond into the Ø400 x 430mm stainless steel drum chamber fitted with a 120 micron screen. Solid waste is removed immediately before it can degrade water quality. As debris restricts flow, the stainless steel float switch activates the automatic cleaning cycle.
The NEW XL SPG motor delivers 130Nm of torque, ensuring smooth drum rotation even under heavier waste loads. The integrated 5 bar internal rinse pump powers high-pressure spray nozzles, flushing waste directly to drain without requiring a mains water connection.
Biological Capacity, Media Requirements and UV Performance
After mechanical separation, water enters the 350 litre moving bed biological chamber. For optimal performance, this chamber is designed to hold approximately 200 litres of Hel-X 17 media. We recommend using the Charles Austen ET100 Airpump with this filter system.
At full maturity, 200 litres of Hel-X 17 can process around 1,200 grams of fish food per day under stable conditions. However, to ensure correct aeration and movement, the chamber should typically be filled to approximately 70 percent of total volume.
As part of our current promotion, this model includes 100 litres of media free of charge. This provides half of the recommended biological capacity from day one while leaving room for expansion to the full 200 litre load if required.
The integrated 40W Amalgam High Output UV-C module operates at 253.7nm and includes an LED indicator for lamp monitoring. It suppresses algae spores, bacteria and harmful microorganisms as water passes through the system, improving clarity and overall pond health.
This pump-fed configuration allows installation in raised filter houses or retrofit systems where gravity-fed layouts are not possible.
