Filtreau Combi-NEXT Drum Filter with UVC and Rinse Pump – Pump Fed with NEW XL Motor

Pump-fed drum and biological filtration with an internal rinse pump

The Combi-NEXT Pump Fed with Rinse Pump is for a pond where a circulation pump sends water into a filter above pond level. It combines an automatically washed drum with a biological section and 40W amalgam UV-C, reducing the number of separate treatment housings to arrange.

Included media: this package comes with approximately 100 litres of moving-bed media. Allow for this included quantity before ordering any extra media; an appropriately sized external air pump is still required.

The internal pressure-cleaning pump is included in this version. That simplifies the rinse-system package, but the circulation and air pumps remain separate equipment choices. The filter needs all three functions to work as intended.

What the integrated wash pump does

The 70-micron screen retains suspended dirt. As the screen loads and changes the water level, the control system turns the drum and runs the wash pump. The spray bar clears the mesh and directs the removed material through the waste channel.

The rinse pump does not lift pond water to the filter and does not supply aeration. Keeping those jobs clear makes the equipment list easier to specify and avoids buying a filter that is still missing an essential part of its installation.

Biological treatment after solids removal

Moving-bed media supports bacteria that process ammonia and nitrite once established. Keep the media compatible with the retention fittings and loaded so that it can circulate evenly. Include any media already supplied with the selected package when deciding whether an extra quantity is needed.

The air diffuser needs an external air pump selected for useful output at the water depth. Static matting does not belong in the moving-media area without a separately designed compartment. Observe the bed after startup and correct uneven movement rather than simply adding more air or more media without checking the cause.

The 40W amalgam UV-C treats suspended green-water algae. It helps clarity but does not replace biological maturation, so build the feeding load gradually and keep testing water quality.

Pump-fed flow and a clear return

Maximum water flow is 20,000 litres/hour. Choose the feed pump from its working flow after lift and pipe resistance, and size the gravity return to carry that water freely. A high point, reducer or over-restricted return can upset the filter’s operating level.

The 1,040 Ă— 920 Ă— 1,020 mm body needs a level, fully supported base and access to its lid and UV components. Compare the narrower AFTER with rinse pump if the available space is longer and slimmer.

Choosing the correct NEXT

The pump-fed NEXT without rinse pump is for a separately planned cleaning-water supply. The gravity-fed NEXT with rinse pump belongs in a different pond circuit, before the circulation pump.

After commissioning, inspect the screen, spray pattern and waste drainage regularly. Isolate power before maintenance and keep the UV safely shielded. Leaving enough room to perform those jobs is part of choosing the installation position, not an optional extra after the filter arrives.
