Filtreau Combi-AFTER Drum Filter with UVC and Rinse Pump – Pump Fed
A pump-fed Combi-AFTER with integrated drum rinsing
The Combi-AFTER Pump Fed with Rinse Pump is a complete drum-and-biological layout for a pond that pumps dirty water into its filter. The long, narrow housing can suit a space where a shorter, wider combi would be awkward to install or service.
Included media: this package comes with approximately 100 litres of moving-bed media. Allow for this included quantity before ordering any extra media; an appropriately sized external air pump is still required.
An internal pressure-cleaning pump is part of this package. The filter also includes 40W amalgam UV-C, while the circulation pump, air supply and media configuration should be selected for the pond and the chosen package.
Cleaning solids before biological treatment
The 120-micron screen removes suspended material before it reaches the biological section. Loading changes the water level, triggering the controller to run the drum motor and internal wash pump. The spray bar clears the mesh and directs dirty rinse water out through the waste route.
The unit has its own mechanical drum stage. It should not be treated as merely an AFTER polishing module that needs a second drum upstream. Its biological area follows the drum within the same body.
Media that can circulate properly
Use a compatible moving-media grade and a loading that leaves open water for circulation. Check what is included in the selected filter package before adding extra media. The fitted diffuser needs a separate air pump capable of supplying the required air at working depth.
Do not fill gaps in the moving section with Japanese matting. Fixed sheets need an appropriate separate static area and access for cleaning. In a moving bed, useful space for media to tumble is part of the treatment process.
The 40W amalgam UV-C helps control suspended algae but does not remove ammonia or nitrite. Mature the media gradually, monitor water quality and increase feeding in line with the biological stage’s performance rather than the size of the housing alone.
Return flow and positioning
Maximum flow is 25,000 litres/hour. The circulation pump’s delivered output after lift and friction must stay within that limit, and the gravity return must carry the water back without restriction. Check the route through any additional stages as well as the final pond connection.
The 1,730 Ă— 570 Ă— 1,020 mm body needs a level, supported base and a service space along it. For a shorter body, compare the NEXT Pump Fed with rinse pump. For a gravity-fed bottom-drain circuit, use the gravity-fed AFTER with rinse pump.

Owning and maintaining the filter
Keep the lid, waste channel and UV assembly accessible. Check the screen and spray pattern during routine maintenance and keep the waste route clear of seasonal debris. Isolate power before working inside the housing.
The AFTER without an internal rinse pump is a different cleaning package, not a reason to omit the pressure supply altogether. Choosing the correct package before installation is easier than discovering the missing rinse arrangement once the pond is running.
