Choose the matching replacement lid for your Nexus 220 Ti or Nexus 320 Ti

These Evolution Aqua replacement lids are supplied for the Nexus Ti filter range, with a fixing kit included in each option. Choose the 220 Ti lid for a Nexus 220 Ti or the 320 Ti lid for a Nexus 320 Ti. They are separate accessories for an existing filter, allowing you to replace a missing or damaged outer lid without buying another complete filtration system.

The model choice matters. Nexus filters have been produced in several sizes and generations, and the Ti arrangement includes a UV mounting assembly that affects the space around the lid. Check the model on your filter and its current equipment before ordering. If your filter has been converted with a Ti upgrade kit, compare the finished installation with the instructions for that kit as well as the original filter model.

Each option is a lid accessory, rather than a complete filter or a Ti UV upgrade kit. The filter body, UV equipment, filter media and connected pumps are not included. Select the lid for the correct filter size before adding it to your basket.

Choosing between a Ti lid and an older Nexus lid

Evolution Aqua’s Ti upgrade manual makes a useful distinction between a new Nexus Ti lid and an existing black Auto Kit Ready lid. It states that new Ti lids are available separately. It also explains that an existing Auto Kit Ready lid needs its front section modified to fit around the UV mounting bracket, using the appropriate 220 or 320 template supplied with the upgrade kit.

This means a familiar-looking standard Nexus lid should not automatically be treated as a direct replacement for a Ti installation. If you are retaining an older filter without the Ti conversion, our Nexus 220+ filter lid and Nexus 320+ filter lid listings may be the more relevant starting point. Check the exact generation and fittings rather than choosing purely by the photograph.

Fitting and securing the replacement

Before fitting, inspect the filter rim and the surrounding equipment. Remove loose leaves and grit so that debris is not trapped beneath the lid. Check that cables, hoses and fittings follow their intended routes and will not be pinched when the lid is positioned. Offer the correct lid up carefully and check how it sits around the filter’s UV assembly before fastening it.

Use the supplied fixing arrangement in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Do not force a lid down over an obstruction or use the fixings to pull an incorrectly seated cover into position. If the fit is unexpected, stop and check the model and installation first. This is particularly relevant where an older Nexus has been upgraded or where other equipment has been fitted close to the top of the filter.

Access for cleaning and routine checks

Plan enough clear space above and around the filter to remove the lid for maintenance. A replacement lid is useful only if it can also be handled conveniently when the filter needs attention. Avoid placing heavy stored items on top or arranging nearby pipework so that the lid becomes difficult to lift away.

When removing it, put the lid and its loose fixings somewhere stable, away from the pond edge. Check the seating surfaces and fixing points before refitting, particularly after maintenance or windy weather. Clean accumulated surface dirt with a soft cloth and water, avoiding scraping the fitting edges or making unapproved alterations to clear an obstruction.

Working around the Nexus Ti UV system

The outer filter lid and the UV assembly have different jobs. Replacing this lid does not renew a UV lamp, repair a quartz sleeve or replace the UV assembly’s own cover and mounting components. Identify the part that is actually damaged before ordering, especially if a problem follows UV maintenance.

Follow Evolution Aqua’s instructions for isolating the equipment before work around the filter. Never look directly at an illuminated UV lamp. A lid purchase should not be used as a reason to operate an incomplete or damaged UV assembly; the complete installation must remain assembled and maintained as the manufacturer specifies.
