Pipework and fittings are selected separately.
£2,649.95 (inc VAT)
The Evolution Aqua Nexus 320 Titanium complete kit is the larger package for koi ponds that need more water volume, more biological media and more flow than a Nexus 220 can comfortably provide. It includes the filter, free genuine lid, Varipump 20000 and Airtech 95, with optional Airtech 130 and extra K+ media choices.
This is a filtration equipment package, not a box of arbitrary plumbing. By leaving out hose and pipe, the cost stays with the parts every buyer needs and the installer can use the correct bottom drain, valve and return sizes for the pond.
Bundle value: The base package is £2,649.95. Compared with buying the Nexus 320 Titanium, lid, Varipump 20000 and Airtech 95 separately, it saves £270.90 and includes the genuine lid free.
What is included
- 1 × Evolution Aqua Nexus 320 Titanium filter 1 × genuine Nexus 320 filter lid included free 1 × Evolution Aqua Varipump 20000 1 × Evolution Aqua Airtech 95 air pump, with optional upgrade to the Airtech 130 Optional extra 50 litres of Evolution Aqua K+ filter media
Why these parts work together
The Nexus 320 Titanium has a maximum stated flow of 13,000 litres per hour. The Varipump 20000 is intentionally controllable: it provides capacity to overcome lift and pipe resistance but must be turned down and commissioned to the actual filter limit. The extra pump headroom is useful; uncontrolled excess flow is not.
Mechanical waste is trapped in the Eazy stage and the larger K+ moving bed provides biological treatment. Twin 55 watt UVC lamps are built into the Titanium model. The Airtech 95 is the normal package choice, while the Airtech 130 is available where the media bed, airline resistance or installation calls for more air.
Choosing the right size for your pond
Evolution Aqua quotes a maximum pond volume of 34,000 litres. A heavily stocked koi pond may need a lower working limit because feeding, oxygen demand and waste production increase faster than water volume alone suggests. Size to the mature fish stock and maximum summer feeding.
The Nexus 320 is the sensible step up where a 220 would be close to its hydraulic or biological ceiling. Extra K+ media can increase potential biological capacity, but only when the chamber has enough free space and airflow to keep it fully moving.
Plan the installation before ordering
- Choose gravity-fed or pump-fed operation before ordering the valves and pipe. For most dedicated koi ponds, a properly designed gravity-fed bottom drain layout offers strong solids transport and pump access.
- Use correctly sized
- pressure pipe
- ,
- flexible rubber connectors
- and full-bore
- isolation valves
- .
- The Varipump 20000 must be adjusted so measured flow through the Nexus does not exceed 13,000 L/h.
- Plan a large return route and a waste line that can clear the Eazy chamber quickly. Restricted drains turn an easy clean into a slow and incomplete one.
- Install the air pump in a dry, ventilated position and check that the whole biological chamber moves evenly after every media change.
- Leave service clearance around the filter and above the free lid. The filter should not be boxed in so tightly that routine cleaning becomes difficult.
Hose and pipework are not included. This keeps the kit price focused on the equipment and lets you choose the correct lengths, diameters, valves and fittings for the actual installation.

Commissioning and routine care
Establish a cleaning routine that removes trapped waste before it dissolves back into the water. Agitate the Eazy section fully and make sure the waste outlet clears quickly on every drain.
Watch the K+ bed after adding fish, media or air equipment. The entire bed should move without dead corners. Test ammonia and nitrite through the maturation period and service both UVC lamps and quartz sleeves rather than assuming the built-in system is maintenance free.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Nexus 320 lid included free?
Yes. A genuine Nexus 320 lid is included in the package without a separate charge.
Why include a Varipump 20000 when the filter maximum is 13,000 L/h?
The larger controllable pump provides capacity for lift and pipe losses. It must be adjusted from measured flow so the filter never receives more than 13,000 L/h.
What air pump is included?
The base kit includes an Airtech 95. You can replace it with an Airtech 130 for the stated upgrade price.
Should I add another 50 litres of K+ media?
Only when the expected feeding load justifies it and the full media volume will still move freely with adequate oxygen.
Does the Titanium model include UVC?
Yes. The Nexus 320 Titanium has two 55 watt UVC lamps, giving 110 watts in total.
Can it run on a gravity-fed bottom drain system?
Yes. It can be configured gravity fed or pump fed. The correct inlet, operating level and return arrangement depend on the chosen method.
Is 34,000 litres a guaranteed koi capacity?
No. It is a manufacturer maximum. Heavy feeding, large koi and warm water can require substantially more conservative sizing.
Does the kit include pipe and valves?
No. Large koi systems need site-specific bottom drain, return, waste and isolation components.
How much K+ media can the Nexus 320 hold?
The stated maximum is 300 litres. Do not add media beyond the amount the chamber and air supply can keep in continuous movement.
When should I choose the 320 instead of the 220?
Choose the 320 when pond volume, mature fish load, feeding target or required flow would put the 220 close to its limit.
