Oase ProfiClear Premium Compact M Complete Filter Pump UV and Air Kit
This package is for pond owners who want automatic drum filtration without having to piece the main equipment together themselves. It combines the Oase ProfiClear Premium Compact M pump fed drum filter, Oase AquaMax Eco Premium 13000, your choice of Bitron C 55 watt, Bitron C 110 watt or Bitron Eco 120 watt UVC, and the Oase AquaOxy 2500 air pump.
The four components deal with different parts of the job. The drum removes suspended waste automatically. The moving bed provides biological filtration. The UVC helps control green water. The circulation pump moves pond water through the system, while the air pump keeps the Hel-X media moving and well oxygenated. It is a much more useful starting point than buying the drum filter on its own.
Three complete package choices: The Bitron C 55 kit is £3,829.99 and saves £204.47. The Bitron C 110 kit is £3,979.99 and saves £206.47. The Bitron Eco 120 kit is £4,089.99 and saves £208.57. These savings compare the package price with the current individual product prices.
What is included in the Compact M package?
- 1 × Oase ProfiClear Premium Compact M Pump Fed OC drum filter
- 1 × Oase AquaMax Eco Premium 13000 filter pump
- 1 × selected Oase Bitron UVC: Bitron C 55 watt, Bitron C 110 watt or Bitron Eco 120 watt
- 1 × Oase AquaOxy 2500 pond air pump
Pipework, flexible hose, valves, airline, electrical installation and site specific fittings are not included. Every filter bay is different, so those parts should be chosen to suit the actual distance, lift, return route and equipment position rather than artificially increasing the package price with unsuitable fittings.
Why these four components work together
The Compact M has a stated working flow range of 7,500 to 12,500 litres per hour. The AquaMax Eco Premium 13000 is closely matched to that range. Its 13,000 litre per hour figure is a free flow maximum, and the delivered flow will reduce once the water is lifted and moved through the UVC, hose, valves and bends.
The completed installation should still be measured and balanced so that it remains within the filter’s stated range.
The UVC uses the filter’s intended Bitron connection, which gives a tidy supported installation. Water then passes through the drum and into the aerated biological chamber. The included AquaOxy 2500 supplies the air required by the moving bed, so the air pump is part of the working filter package rather than an unrelated extra.
Inside the package
Oase ProfiClear Premium Compact M Pump Fed OC
The Compact M is a self cleaning pump fed drum filter with a moving bed biological stage in the same body. Pond water enters under pump pressure and passes through the drum screen. Fine suspended solids are retained on the screen instead of being allowed to settle and break down in the biological chamber.
As the screen becomes restricted, the controller starts a rinse cycle and the built in four bar cleaning pump washes the collected waste into the discharge trough.
For current SKU 47009, Oase lists six removable sieve elements and an 80 micron coarse debris extraction specification. The filter is rinsed using cleaned pond water, so a separate mains water supply is not required for the rinse cycle. The automatic cycle can be triggered by the sensor, a timed interval or manually when servicing the unit.
After the drum, water passes through the biological chamber supplied with 40 litres of Hel-X 13 media. The media remains in motion when the AquaOxy is connected correctly. This provides protected surface area for the bacteria that convert ammonia and nitrite as the filter matures.
- Automatic pump fed drum filter with microprocessor control
- Six individually removable 80 micron sieve elements on current SKU 47009
- Sensor, timed and manual cleaning modes
- Built in four bar rinse pump using cleaned pond water
- 40 litres of Hel-X 13 biological media included
- Digital water temperature display
- Stated flow range of 7,500 to 12,500 litres per hour
- One DN110 gravity return outlet

Oase AquaMax Eco Premium 13000 circulation pump
The AquaMax Eco Premium 13000 moves water from the pond, through the selected Bitron UVC and into the drum filter. Oase quotes a maximum output of 13,000 litres per hour and a maximum head height of 5 metres. Power use varies from approximately 16 to 100 watts according to the selected output.
The pump is electronically adjustable and Oase Control compatible. That makes commissioning easier because the flow can be reduced if the finished system is delivering too much water. It can be installed submerged or dry mounted in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, and it can pass particles up to approximately 11 mm.
- Maximum quoted flow of 13,000 litres per hour
- Maximum quoted head height of 5 metres
- Power consumption from approximately 16 to 100 watts
- Electronically adjustable and Oase Control compatible
- Submerged or dry installation options
- Maximum coarse debris passage of approximately 11 mm
- 10 metre power cable
Choose a Bitron C 55, Bitron C 110 or Bitron Eco 120 UVC
The Bitron treats the circulating water before it reaches the drum. Ultraviolet light damages the free floating algae responsible for green water, allowing the filtration system to deal with the affected particles. UVC output should be chosen using pond volume, sunlight, water depth, flow and fish load rather than volume alone.
The Bitron C 55 is the lowest priced package and is suitable where the pond and algae pressure are moderate. The C 110 doubles the nominal lamp output for a relatively small increase in the bundle price. The Bitron Eco 120 is the highest output choice in this package and adds electronic features suited to more demanding installations.
A larger UVC improves ultraviolet treatment capacity. It does not increase the drum’s maximum flow or the biological capacity of the Hel-X chamber, and it cannot compensate for poor circulation or an immature filter.
Oase AquaOxy 2500 air pump
The AquaOxy 2500 is included to run the Compact M’s pre installed aeration. Oase quotes a nominal output of 2,500 litres of air per hour, with a maximum listed output of 3,180 litres per hour. The quoted delivery is approximately 46 litres per minute at 0.5 metres, 40 litres per minute at 1 metre and 32 litres per minute at 1.5 metres.
Airflow always falls as depth, airline length and back pressure increase. Position the pump in a dry, ventilated place above water level or use a suitable non return arrangement. The filter should be commissioned with enough air to move the entire media bed evenly rather than leaving still pockets.
- Nominal air output of 2,500 litres per hour
- Maximum listed output of 3,180 litres per hour
- One outlet with 19 mm, three quarter inch and 9 mm connection options
- Approximate dimensions 245 × 185 × 200 mm
- Approximate weight 8.1 kg
- Five metre power cable
- No separate air stones are included with the pump

Pond size and real world capacity
Oase gives the Compact M a headline maximum pond volume of up to 80,000 litres. That is a fishless pond figure, not a recommendation for a heavily stocked koi pond. Fish numbers, adult fish size, daily feed, sunlight, temperature, debris and the amount of spare capacity you want all change the real requirement.
For a koi pond, we would size the system much more conservatively and look closely at the intended feeding rate. A small heavily fed pond can place more demand on the biological stage than a much larger ornamental pond. The best installation keeps the filter within its 7,500 to 12,500 litre per hour working range and allows the biological media time to mature.
Installation layout and parts to plan
- The AquaMax Eco Premium 13000 draws water and suspended debris from the pond.
- Water passes through the selected Bitron UVC.
- The treated flow enters the Compact M pump fed drum filter.
- The automatic drum screen separates fine solids and washes them to waste.
- Water moves through the aerated Hel-X biological chamber.
- Cleaned water returns to the pond by gravity through the DN110 outlet.
Install the filter on a rigid, level base with the pump fed unit approximately 32 cm above pond water level, following the current Oase instructions. The DN110 return must be unrestricted, continuously falling and capable of carrying the full flow. Provide safe electrical supplies, service access and a waste route that cannot discharge back into the pond.
Useful items to plan include heavy duty flexible pond hose or imperial pressure pipe for the pumped section, full bore pressure pipe ball valves for isolation, the Oase ProfiClear Premium pump fed discharge kit where appropriate, and suitable airline and aeration fittings for the AquaOxy connection.

The Compact M is the neater choice when the planned turnover and biological demand sit comfortably within its range. The Compact L provides more flow, more media and a second gravity return for larger or more demanding systems. It is usually better to buy enough filter capacity at the beginning than to run a smaller drum permanently at its limit.
Commissioning and routine ownership
On first start up, check the delivered water flow rather than relying on the pump nameplate. Confirm that the DN110 return runs freely, the waste route is secure and the drum completes a full cleaning cycle. Adjust the AquaOxy connection until the whole Hel-X bed moves evenly.
The drum rinse is automatic, but ownership is not maintenance free. Inspect the screen, spray nozzles, seals, float or level sensor, waste trough and rinse pump. Keep the pump intake clean, service the AquaOxy as required and clean the UVC quartz sleeve. Replace UVC lamps at the recommended interval.
The biological stage takes time to mature. Feed carefully after installation, test ammonia and nitrite, and keep established biological media running during a major changeover wherever practical. Clear water does not automatically mean that the filter is biologically mature.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a genuinely complete filtration package?
It includes the four main pieces of equipment: Compact M drum filter, AquaMax Eco Premium 13000 circulation pump, one selected Bitron UVC and AquaOxy 2500 air pump. Site specific pipework, airline, valves, fittings and electrical installation remain separate.
Which UVC should I choose?
The C 55 is the lowest priced package. The C 110 gives substantially more output for an extra £150. The Bitron Eco 120 is the highest output choice and costs an extra £260. Pond volume, sunlight, depth and fish load should all influence the decision.
Why is a 13,000 L/h pump used with a 12,500 L/h filter?
The pump’s maximum figure is measured at free flow. The UVC, lift, hose, valves and fittings reduce delivery. Even so, the finished system should be measured and adjusted so the filter remains within its stated working range.
Does the kit include an air pump?
Yes. The AquaOxy 2500 is included to run the Compact M moving bed. Site specific airline and connection fittings are not included.
Does the Bitron connect directly to the Compact M?
The Compact M has a dedicated Bitron connection so the chosen UVC can be fitted as part of the filter layout rather than being left as an unsupported loose unit in the line. Use the correct connection parts and leave room for servicing.
Can this package be used on a koi pond?
Yes, but koi pond sizing must be conservative. The 80,000 litre headline rating is a fishless pond figure. Fish size, feeding and desired spare capacity matter more than volume alone.
Does the automatic drum still need maintenance?
Yes. The rinse cycle removes routine solids, but the screen, nozzles, seals, sensors, waste route, pump, UVC and air pump still need inspection and servicing.
Can you help plan the pipework?
Yes. Send us the pond dimensions, filter position, approximate lift, return point and clear photographs. We can then help identify the likely hose, pressure pipe, valves, unions and airline.
