Genuine replacement liners for Blagdon Affinity raised pools

A damaged liner should not mean the end of a Blagdon Affinity pool. These genuine Blagdon Affinity replacement liners are made for the original frame shapes and are available for Rectangle, Square, classic Living Feature, Mocha, View and Grand pools. Choose the exact family and shape from the menu above; each option carries the verified Blagdon part number so it can be checked before dispatch.

The Affinity liner is a shaped, fibre-reinforced component rather than ordinary pond-liner sheet. Its profile, fixing points and viewing-window positions have to match the surrounding frame. For that reason, the liners are not interchangeable simply because two pools look similar in a photograph. The compact View Half Moon, for example, is not the same liner as the larger Mocha or Grand Half Moon.

Complete Affinity pools are becoming harder to replace as the range changes, which makes the correct spare liner particularly worthwhile when the existing frame, panels and filtration are still serviceable. Replacing the model-specific liner can restore a leaking or damaged pool without buying a complete new water feature.

Please identify the pool before ordering. Match the name and Blagdon part number in the table below. If the original paperwork has gone, send us clear photographs of the whole pool, the panel colour, shape, number of windows and its widest measurements. We would much rather check it first than send a liner that is almost—but not actually—correct.

Choose by family first, then by shape

Affinity View liners

View pools are the compact members of the range. The View Half Moon is approximately 75.5cm wide and 63cm deep, while the View Octagon is approximately 75.5cm across. View liners are available here for the Half Moon, Octagon and Corner shapes.

Affinity Mocha liners

Mocha pools use the darker woven panels and are much larger than the compact View models. The Mocha Half Moon holds approximately 336 litres, the Mocha Octagon approximately 400 litres and the Mocha Corner approximately 330 litres. Do not select a View liner for one of these pools even when the outline appears similar.

Affinity Grand liners

Grand is the largest Affinity family. We list the Half Moon, Octagon, Corner and the discontinued Grand Oval liner because existing Grand pools remain worth maintaining. Their liners are larger and have different window and frame geometry from both View and Mocha versions.

Original Rectangle, Square and Living Feature liners

Earlier Affinity models include Rectangle, Square and the original rattan-style Living Feature Half Moon and Octagon. These should be matched by the exact Blagdon part number wherever possible. The old rattan Half Moon is part 1051231 and the old rattan Octagon is part 1051194; neither should be confused with the later Mocha versions.

What is included?

Each option is for one genuine, shaped Blagdon replacement liner for the named Affinity pool. The viewing sections and fixing layout are made for that specific model. The surrounding frame, woven or decorative panels, top rails, underlay, pump, InPond filter, fountain, waterfall, planting baskets and other pool equipment are not included unless the product selection explicitly says otherwise.

Inspect the existing frame and panel fixings before ordering. A new liner will not correct a twisted, corroded, cracked or badly out-of-square structure. Replacement liners should be installed only into the intended, sound Affinity frame.

Replacing an Affinity pool liner

  1. Move livestock safely. Transfer fish to a suitable covered holding container with aeration and mature filtration where possible. Keep temperature changes small.
  2. Isolate the electrics. Switch off and disconnect the InPond unit and any other equipment before draining or reaching into the pool.
  3. Drain the pool fully. Never try to move, level or dismantle an Affinity pool while it still contains water.
  4. Photograph the assembly. Record the rail, panel, connector, cable and window positions before taking the frame apart.
  5. Inspect every supporting part. Check the underlay, frame, panel edges, fixing pins and window openings for damage or anything sharp.
  6. Fit the new liner without forcing it. Follow the instructions for the specific pool, align every window and fixing point, and keep folds even.
  7. Fill progressively. Add a little water at a time while checking that the liner seats correctly and the frame remains level.
  8. Condition the new water. Use a suitable tap-water dechlorinator before livestock or established filter media are exposed to it.

The official instructions for the matching Affinity model remain the authority for dismantling and assembly. Window positions must be properly aligned before the water load is applied. Do not trim, stretch, glue or cut a replacement liner to make it fit a different model.

Our practical advice before you take the old pool apart

A filled Affinity pool is heavy and the water supports the liner evenly. Once drained, tired frame parts can move and old plastic fixings may be more brittle than they were at the original installation. Work on a dry day, give yourself room, use two people for the larger Grand models and keep every fixing grouped and labelled.

Do not use a pressure washer, abrasive pad or solvent on a new liner or its viewing sections. Blagdon specifies its soft Affinity window-cleaning pads for the clear panels. Make sure stones, gravel and ornaments have no sharp points touching the liner.

Looking after the replacement liner

  • Keep the pool on a smooth, rigid and completely level base.
  • Remove sharp stones or debris before assembly and retain suitable protective underlay.
  • Use only non-abrasive materials intended for the Affinity viewing windows.
  • Do not drag the pool or attempt to move it while filled.
  • Avoid placing sharp ornaments directly against the liner.
  • Follow Blagdon’s winter guidance and never strike surface ice.
  • Investigate an unexplained water-level drop rather than repeatedly topping up untreated tap water.

Complete the Affinity pool repair

For the rest of the installation, see our raised ponds and patio pools, the Blagdon InPond all-in-one filter range, pond water test kits and UK-grown pond plants. Re-establish water quality carefully after a complete drain, especially if fish have been held elsewhere during the repair.

Frequently asked questions

Are these genuine Blagdon Affinity liners?

Yes. The options use the verified Blagdon manufacturer part numbers for the corresponding Affinity pool models.

Do I choose by shape alone?

No. Choose the family and the shape. View, Mocha, Grand and earlier Living Feature pools can share a general outline while using different dimensions and window positions.

Does the replacement liner include the viewing windows?

The liner is supplied as the model-specific Affinity liner with the clear viewing sections required by that design. The outer decorative panels and structural frame are not included.

What is the difference between View and Mocha liners?

View pools are compact. Mocha pools are substantially larger and use different frame and liner geometry, so their liners are not interchangeable.

How can I identify a View Half Moon?

The View Half Moon is approximately 75.5cm wide and 63cm deep. The larger Mocha Half Moon is approximately 103cm wide and 73cm deep.

Which liner fits the 336-litre Half Moon?

The approximately 336-litre dark Mocha Half Moon uses Blagdon part 1054751. Check the panel finish and measurements before ordering.

Which liner fits the 400-litre octagonal pool?

The approximately 400-litre Mocha Octagon uses Blagdon part 1054744.

Can I fit a Grand liner into a smaller Affinity frame?

No. A larger liner cannot be safely folded or adapted to another frame. Use the exact model-specific part.

Is the Grand Oval liner still available even though the pool was discontinued?

It is included as an orderable option here for existing Grand Oval owners, subject to current supplier availability.

Can a punctured Affinity liner be repaired?

A small puncture away from a window may sometimes accept an appropriate liner repair, but damage around a window, seam or fixing point is harder to repair reliably. A genuine replacement is the safer long-term answer when the old liner cannot hold water.

Can I reuse the old underlay?

Only if it is clean, correctly sized and completely undamaged. Replace compressed, torn or contaminated protection rather than placing a new liner over a known risk.

Do I need to remove the fish?

Yes. The pool must be drained and dismantled for a liner replacement, so livestock need an appropriately sized, covered and aerated temporary home.

Can I move the Affinity pool with water still inside?

No. Drain it fully first. Moving a filled pool can distort the frame and place uncontrolled load on the liner and windows.

How should the viewing windows be cleaned?

Use only a soft, non-abrasive pad approved for the Affinity windows. Abrasive cloths and gritty sponges can permanently scratch the clear surface.

Should I replace the filter media at the same time?

Not automatically. Mature biological media are valuable. Keep them wet and aerated during the work, replace only genuinely worn consumables and never clean established biological media in untreated tap water.

What if I cannot find the model label?

Send us photographs of the complete pool and its panels, plus the height, maximum width, maximum depth and number of windows. We can compare those details with the Blagdon families before you order.
