The Oase FiltoClear 5000 Set OC is a compact, complete filtration system designed for small ornamental ponds and lightly stocked fish ponds where reliable water clarity and easy maintenance are essential.
This all in one set combines the Oase FiltoClear 5000 pressurised filter with an energy efficient Oase AquaMax Eco Premium 5000 pump and an integrated 18 watt UV clarifier. Together, they provide effective mechanical filtration, stable biological processing and dependable green water control in a neat and space saving package.
Designed for wildlife ponds up to 5000 litres and fish ponds up to 2500 litres, this system is ideal for smaller garden ponds where elevated returns or decorative features are required. Because the filter operates under pressure, clean water can be pumped uphill to supply waterfalls or raised watercourses without reducing performance.
The sealed filter housing allows the unit to be partially recessed into the ground, enabling discreet installation while keeping all controls accessible.

At the heart of the system is an integrated 18 watt UV clarifier. This UV unit helps control suspended algae and green water, improving overall clarity and maintaining a healthier pond environment.
Internally, the FiltoClear 5000 uses layered filter foams to capture debris before water passes through the biological stage. The compact pressure vessel ensures efficient contact time while maintaining steady flow.
The maximum flow rate of the filter is 5000 litres per hour. When paired with the AquaMax Eco Premium 5000 pump, which consumes just 35 watts, the system provides energy efficient circulation suitable for small ponds and raised features.
Maintenance is straightforward thanks to the Easy Clean Technology. Using the external cleaning mechanism, the internal foam sections are compressed to release trapped debris, which is then discharged through the waste outlet. This allows hygienic servicing without removing dirty foams.
The filter includes a 5 metre cable on the UV unit, while the supplied pump includes a 10 metre cable, allowing flexible positioning within the garden.

UV sizing and maintenance notes
Oase FiltoClear 5000 Set OC should be matched to the pond volume, flow rate and water clarity problem you are trying to solve. UV clarification works best when water passes the lamp at a suitable speed and the quartz sleeve is kept clean. If the flow is too fast, contact time can be reduced. If the lamp is old or the quartz sleeve is dirty, performance can drop even when the unit still appears to be switched on.
- Replace UV lamps as part of routine seasonal maintenance.
- Clean or inspect the quartz sleeve when water clarity starts to deteriorate.
- Match the UV to the pump and filter rather than installing it in isolation.
- Allow safe access for lamp changes and winter maintenance.
Good UV performance also depends on mechanical filtration. Removing fine debris before the UV helps the lamp work on green water algae more effectively.
