This page covers genuine service parts for several generations of Oase FiltoClear pressure filters. Similar-looking filters and components are not necessarily interchangeable. The safest way to order is to identify the complete model name, wattage, product number and the part number from the correct exploded diagram.

Compatibility and current prices

Electrical heads and quartz sleeves

A failed UVC is not always a failed electrical head. Electrically isolate the unit and check the lamp, quartz sleeve, seals, safety switch and visible connections. Water or condensation inside the electrical assembly requires immediate isolation and professional inspection. Never test a UVC lamp while looking directly at it.

Quartz sleeves must be clean, unchipped and correctly sealed. Replace flattened or damaged O-rings, lubricate only where the Oase instructions permit, and tighten evenly without forcing the brittle quartz. Pressure-test the filter with the electricity still isolated before reconnecting power.

Lid clamps, seals and fittings

A pressure filter must close evenly. Clean the mating faces, check the main seal is not twisted and make sure the vessel is not distorted. A stronger clamp will not compensate for an incorrectly seated seal. If water leaks from a hosetail or drain tap, inspect the threaded fitting, union seal and pipe support rather than overtightening the plastic.

60000/90000 coloured foams

The blue, red, purple and green two-packs are separate foam grades/positions within the large FiltoClear arrangement; they are not colour choices. Refit each colour in the position shown by the correct Oase diagram. Clean mature foam gently in removed pond water and replace it when torn, permanently compressed or unable to recover its shape.

Complete the service

• Photograph the label and original component positions before dismantling.
• Keep screws grouped and never mix apparently similar parts from different generations.
• Inspect cables, seals, quartz and vessel threads while access is available.
• Restart with the electrical supply isolated and check the complete water path for leaks.
• Confirm normal flow and UVC indication only after the filter is full and sealed.

Usually, if the photo includes the filter label, overall unit and part position. A close-up of the broken item alone may not distinguish the generation.

Can electrical heads be fitted by the pond?

Isolate and dry the equipment first. Fixed outdoor electrical work must be completed by a competent person and comply with current requirements.

Why do the large filters use coloured foams?

The colours identify different grades or positions. Follow the model diagram rather than arranging them by preference.
