This page covers genuine service parts for several generations of Oase FiltoClear pressure filters. Similar-looking filters and components are not necessarily interchangeable. The safest way to order is to identify the complete model name, wattage, product number and the part number from the correct exploded diagram.

Please check before ordering: do not select from the filter’s approximate size or appearance alone. “FiltoClear 15000”, “FiltoClear 16000” and newer FiltoClear models can use different components. If the label is unclear, send us a photograph of the filter label and required part position.

Choose the correct replacement part

Replacement mesh tubes for older FiltoClear filters

The four mesh tubes are different lengths for the older FiltoClear 3000, 6000, 11000 and 15000 pressure filters. Oase identifies them at position 7 in the corresponding exploded diagram. Match the part number and filter model, then check the length against the removed component: 145mm for the 3000, 263mm for the 6000, 383mm for the 11000 and 503mm for the 15000.

These are replacement mesh tubes, not quartz sleeves or UVC lamps. Each option supplies one tube. The filter foam, electrical head, quartz sleeve, cleaning rods and other service components are separate parts. A longer tube is not an upgrade for a smaller filter, and the older FiltoClear 15000 is a different model from the FiltoClear 16000. Use the equipment label and matching diagram when identifying the replacement.

Before opening the filter, disconnect the pump and UVC equipment and follow the model’s instructions for safely draining and opening the vessel. Keep track of the foam arrangement and existing component positions. Check the tube for splits or damaged mounting points while the filter is accessible, and clean the surrounding parts without forcing them. Reassemble in the original order, ensure seals are seated correctly and check for leaks before returning the system to service.

Electrical heads and quartz sleeves

A failed UVC is not always a failed electrical head. Electrically isolate the unit and check the lamp, quartz sleeve, seals, safety switch and visible connections. Water or condensation inside the electrical assembly requires immediate isolation and professional inspection. Never test a UVC lamp while looking directly at it.

Quartz sleeves must be clean, unchipped and correctly sealed. Replace flattened or damaged O-rings, lubricate only where the Oase instructions permit, and tighten evenly without forcing the brittle quartz. With the UVC still disconnected, restore water circulation as directed in the filter manual and check for leaks before reconnecting the UVC.

Lid clamps, seals and fittings

A pressure filter must close evenly. Clean the mating faces, check the main seal is not twisted and make sure the vessel is not distorted. A stronger clamp will not compensate for an incorrectly seated seal. If water leaks from a hosetail or drain tap, inspect the threaded fitting, union seal and pipe support rather than overtightening the plastic.

60000/90000 coloured foams

The blue, red, purple and green two-packs are separate foam grades/positions within the large FiltoClear arrangement; they are not colour choices. Refit each colour in the position shown by the correct Oase diagram. Clean mature foam gently in removed pond water and replace it when torn, permanently compressed or unable to recover its shape.

Complete the service

• Photograph the label and original component positions before dismantling.
• Keep screws grouped and never mix apparently similar parts from different generations.
• Inspect cables, seals, quartz and vessel threads while access is available.
• Keep the UVC disconnected while restoring water circulation as instructed and checking the complete water path for leaks.
• Confirm normal flow and UVC indication only after the filter is full and sealed.

Frequently asked questions

Can you identify the part from a photo?

Usually, if the photo includes the filter label, overall unit and part position. A close-up of the broken item alone may not distinguish the generation.

Are these genuine Oase parts?

Yes. Each variation is tied to the Oase number shown.

Can electrical heads be fitted by the pond?

Isolate and dry the equipment first. Fixed outdoor electrical work must be completed by a competent person and comply with current requirements.

Why do the large filters use coloured foams?

The colours identify different grades or positions. Follow the model diagram rather than arranging them by preference.

Main lid O-ring: part 77773

The main lid seal is available separately as genuine Oase part 77773. Oase specifies this blue EPDM-S O-ring as 330 × 8mm, SH35, and lists it at position 3 in the current FiltoClear 5000, 13000, 19000 and 31000 parts diagrams. It seals the joint between the filter container and lid. It is a different component from the smaller UVC seals and the cleaning mechanism’s lip seal.

Compare the part number in your filter’s exploded diagram before ordering. A leaking joint can also be caused by dirt on the sealing faces, an incorrectly seated lid or a damaged clamp, so inspect the surrounding components as well as the seal. Disconnect the equipment and follow the filter manual before opening the pressurised container. Supply is one O-ring; the lid and clamping ring are separate parts.
