It is suitable for ponds up to 145,000 litres in ornamental setups, up to 72,500 litres with fish, or up to 36,250 litres with koi, giving exceptional performance for substantial garden water features and demanding biological loads.

At its core, the system uses Oase’s automatic 300 micron pre filter screen. This moving screen continuously removes leaves, algae and coarse debris before it reaches the biological filtration stages. As a result, the finer media stays cleaner for longer and overall filtration efficiency is improved.

An intelligent ScreenMatic sensor monitors debris build up and activates the screen only when required, reducing unnecessary power use and wear. Collected waste is transported into an external debris tray for clean and simple disposal. This makes ongoing maintenance much less frequent and more user-friendly.

After mechanical pre filtration, water flows through a multi stage biological filtration system featuring 24 high capacity filter foams. These foams provide extensive surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonise. Consequently, ammonia and nitrite are broken down naturally, helping to maintain stable, healthy water conditions in larger pond environments.

Furthermore, the inclusion of special filter granulate supports improved nutrient control and water quality. This makes the BioTec ScreenMatic2 145000 especially well suited to large ponds with high fish stocking or heavy organic loads.

Maintenance is straightforward, with a compression cleaning handle allowing foam cleaning in place, and an instant cleaning button for manual activation when needed. UV sizing and maintenance notes

Oase BioTec ScreenMatic2 145000 should be matched to the pond volume, flow rate and water clarity problem you are trying to solve. UV clarification works best when water passes the lamp at a suitable speed and the quartz sleeve is kept clean. If the flow is too fast, contact time can be reduced. If the lamp is old or the quartz sleeve is dirty, performance can drop even when the unit still appears to be switched on.
