It is suitable for ponds up to 60,000 litres in ornamental setups, up to 30,000 litres with fish, or up to 15,000 litres with koi, making it an excellent choice for ponds with higher biological demand.

At the heart of the system is Oase’s automatic 300 micron pre filter screen. This continuously removes leaves, algae and coarse debris before it can reach the biological filtration stages. An intelligent ScreenMatic sensor monitors debris build up and activates the screen only when required, ensuring consistent performance while reducing unnecessary wear and power usage. Collected waste is transported into an external debris tray for clean and hygienic disposal.

After mechanical pre filtration, water flows through a multi stage biological filtration system using eight large capacity filter sponges. These provide a substantial surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonise, allowing the natural breakdown of ammonia and nitrite and supporting long term water clarity and stable pond conditions. The inclusion of special filter granulate further improves nutrient control and overall filtration efficiency.

Maintenance is simple and user friendly, with a compression cleaning handle allowing the sponges to be cleaned in place and an instant cleaning button for manual activation when required. Technical information

UV sizing and maintenance notes

Oase BioTec ScreenMatic2 60000 should be matched to the pond volume, flow rate and water clarity problem you are trying to solve. UV clarification works best when water passes the lamp at a suitable speed and the quartz sleeve is kept clean. If the flow is too fast, contact time can be reduced. If the lamp is old or the quartz sleeve is dirty, performance can drop even when the unit still appears to be switched on.

• Replace UV lamps as part of routine seasonal maintenance.
• Clean or inspect the quartz sleeve when water clarity starts to deteriorate.
• Match the UV to the pump and filter rather than installing it in isolation.
