The Filtreau Combi-AFTER Pump Fed is a professional post filtration drum system designed for pump fed koi ponds and ornamental ponds up to 60m³, depending on stocking density. Unlike a primary drum unit, this model installs after an existing mechanical drum or sieve filter. Therefore, it acts as a dedicated polishing and biological stage, improving long term clarity and overall stability.

Thanks to its slim 570mm profile, this model fits comfortably into narrower filter pits where space is limited. Even so, it still houses a substantial 350 litre moving bed biological chamber. Consequently, it provides strong nitrification performance and supports heavily stocked koi systems with confidence.

In addition, the integrated 40W High Output UV C immersion module operates at 253.7nm to suppress algae spores, bacteria and harmful microorganisms as water flows through the chamber. This not only improves clarity, but it also helps maintain healthier water conditions across the season.

Pump Fed Operation and Cleaning System

This pump fed version is designed for installations where a pump feeds water directly into the unit. As a result, it offers flexible placement options and suits raised ponds, retrofits, and systems where gravity fed pipework is not possible.

Water enters via the 110mm inlets and passes through the drum section before flowing into the large moving bed biological chamber. From there, the system returns water onward to the next stage or directly back to the pond, depending on your overall filtration layout.

A stainless steel float switch monitors water level within the drum. When debris restricts flow, it triggers the automatic cleaning cycle. The drum rotates while spray nozzles flush waste to drain, keeping the screen clear and performance consistent.

This version does not include an internal rinse pump. Instead, the cleaning spray bar connects to a mains water supply, which provides the pressure required for the wash cycle. If you prefer a version with a built in wash pump, that is available as a separate model.
