Lake Equipment for Aeration, Fountains, Cleaning and Water Quality
Large water needs diagnosis before equipment
A lake can look simple from the bank and behave very differently below the surface. Depth changes, wind, nutrient inputs, sludge, fish, leaf fall and water source all influence what the lake needs. That is why this category contains more than pumps: it includes Oase and Kasco aerators, floating fountains, a professional lake skimmer, lighting and targeted water-treatment products.
For oxygen and circulation, compare Kasco Surface Aerators, the Kasco VFX Aerating Fountain, Oase AirFlo models and the Oase AquaAir Eco 250. For a decorative display, the Oase PondJet and Kasco JF ranges provide floating fountains with nozzle and lighting choices.
Decorative fountain or dedicated aerator?
A fountain creates a visible pattern and mixes the upper water. A surface aerator is designed primarily to move and oxygenate water. An attractive spray can still provide useful aeration, but it may not be the most efficient answer for a deep, irregular or heavily loaded lake.
Treatment products are selected by the problem
The Oase Lake Therapy range includes products aimed at phosphate binding, sludge, algae and water clarity. They are not interchangeable and we do not recommend adding a treatment simply because the water looks poor. Basic measurements, photographs and the history of the lake help us decide whether the issue is algae, suspended sediment, low oxygen, organic loading or a combination.

What You Will Find in Our Lake Equipment Range
Floating fountains and display lighting
The Oase PondJet Eco Premium is a smart dynamic floating fountain with CORE 6 technology and optional nozzle and lighting choices. Kasco JF fountains provide interchangeable decorative patterns, while VFX models combine a classic display with strong aeration.
Lake aerators
Kasco surface aerators, Oase AirFlo and AquaAir equipment are chosen around oxygen demand, treated area, depth and electrical supply. Positioning matters: one powerful unit near the bank may leave a sheltered arm of the lake poorly circulated.
Floating lake skimming
The Oase Floating Lake Skimmer 250 Eco removes leaves and floating debris across substantial surfaces. It is a professional piece of equipment, not a substitute for solving persistent duckweed or nutrient problems, but it can materially reduce organic matter sinking into the lake.
Lake Therapy products
OptiLake, ClearLake, Sedox, SchlixX, AlgoLon, Algoshield, PeriDox and CyanoClear address different aspects of lake management. Product choice, dose and timing depend on the water conditions. We prefer to build a management plan rather than stack treatments on top of one another.
How That Pond Guy can help
We are a small independent pond company, so you can send us the untidy details: photos, a rough depth map, test results and what changed before the problem appeared. We will help narrow the equipment and tell you when more information is needed before spending money.

Lake Equipment FAQs
What types of lake equipment do you sell?
The range includes floating fountains, surface aerators, lake aerators, a professional skimmer, lighting, filtration and targeted water-treatment products.
Which is better for aeration: a fountain or a surface aerator?
A dedicated aerator normally prioritises oxygen transfer. A fountain prioritises appearance while providing some circulation and aeration.
Can one aerator treat a whole estate lake?
It depends on lake size, depth and shape. Sheltered bays and deep zones may need additional units or a different aeration layout.
What is the difference between Oase PondJet and Kasco JF?
Both are floating fountain systems, but their pump, nozzle, lighting and control options differ. Compare the desired spray pattern and installation requirements.
Can a lake skimmer remove all duckweed?
It can collect floating duckweed reaching the intake, but ongoing control normally needs attention to growth conditions and coverage.
Which Lake Therapy treatment should I use?
Identify the water-quality problem first. Send test results and photographs so the product and dose can be assessed.
Do you supply lake fountain lights?
Yes. Oase white and RGB lighting sets are listed for compatible floating fountain systems.
Can lake equipment be chosen from surface area alone?
No. Depth, volume, shape, water source, sludge, fish, nutrients and the result you want all affect the solution.
Is aeration the same as filtration?
No. Aeration supports oxygen and circulation; filtration physically captures solids and may provide biological treatment.
Will a fountain aerate an entire lake?
A fountain treats the area it mixes. Long, narrow, deep or sheltered lakes may need additional circulation or diffused aeration.
Should I treat the water before testing it?
We prefer to understand the problem first. Algae, turbidity, low oxygen and sludge can look related but require different responses.
How important is access for maintenance?
Very. Heavy pumps, floating equipment, filters and chemical dosing all need safe access, isolation and a realistic servicing plan.
Can lake systems be installed in stages?
Often yes. Monitoring, aeration and targeted circulation can be staged before larger filtration or treatment work when the design allows it.
Do large systems need backup equipment?
If fish welfare, public safety or water quality depends on continuous operation, alarms and duty/standby equipment are worth discussing.
Can you help plan a lake project?
Yes. Photos, dimensions, depth readings, water tests and the present equipment give us a useful starting point.
