The Oase Floating Lake Skimmer 250 Eco is a premium floating surface skimmer designed for large ponds, estate lakes and commercial water features up to 250 m².
It removes leaves, pollen, duckweed, blossom and floating organic debris before the waste can sink to the bottom. As a result, the skimmer helps reduce sludge build up, nutrient loading and algae growth. Consequently, water conditions remain cleaner, healthier and more stable throughout the year.
The new 2026 Skimmer 250 Eco replaces the previous 250 LM model. Originally launched in 2010, the older 250 LM became one of Oase’s most widely used commercial floating skimmers for more than 16 years. However, the updated Eco version introduces major improvements in efficiency, motor technology and long term operating performance.
One of the biggest upgrades is the introduction of Oase CORE 6 motor technology. Unlike the previous 250 LM model, which consumed 250 watts continuously, the new Skimmer 250 Eco uses just 140 watts. At the same time, maximum flow rates increase from 15,000 litres per hour up to 17,000 litres per hour. As a result, the updated model delivers lower running costs, quieter operation and improved long term efficiency.

The previous generation Oase Floating Lake Skimmer 250 LM established itself as a trusted solution for estate lakes, ornamental ponds and commercial water features thanks to its robust stainless steel construction, large debris capacity and highly effective surface cleaning performance.
However, the new Skimmer 250 Eco retains that same proven floating skimmer platform while introducing a modern high efficiency motor system designed for lower operating costs and improved long term reliability.

Designed for Serious Surface Debris Removal

Over time, this organic waste releases nutrients and phosphate back into the water. Consequently, algae growth and sludge accumulation increase rapidly. Therefore, the Oase Floating Lake Skimmer 250 Eco has been specifically designed to interrupt this cycle before it begins.
The integrated AquaMax Eco pump generates a powerful surface draw which pulls water and debris across the extra wide 520 mm skimmer opening. Meanwhile, waste is captured inside the large 27 litre stainless steel debris basket fitted with durable 9 mm mesh.
Cleaned water is then discharged beneath the surface. As a result, circulation and oxygen movement improve throughout shallow or stagnant sections of the pond or lake. In addition, the deeper discharge helps move lower oxygen water from beneath the surface while improving overall water movement.
Floating Self Adjusting Design
Unlike fixed position skimmers, the Oase Floating Lake Skimmer 250 Eco floats directly on the water surface. Therefore, it automatically adjusts to changing water levels caused by rainfall, evaporation and seasonal fluctuations. As a result, the skimmer mouth remains at the ideal operating height throughout the year. This helps maintain efficient surface cleaning performance without constant adjustment.
The unit requires a minimum operating depth of approximately 650 mm. Additionally, it is supplied with a complete stainless steel anchoring kit to prevent drifting in exposed locations.
