The Oase Bitron Premium 180 Watt UVC is a heavy duty stainless steel ultraviolet clarifier engineered for very large koi ponds, swim ponds and commercial water systems. Designed for high flow installations, it delivers exceptional algae control and advanced sterilisation in demanding environments.

Constructed from robust stainless steel, the Bitron Premium range prioritises long term durability and maximum UV efficiency. Internally, the reactor chamber is designed for extended water retention time and uniform flow distribution. This ensures pond water receives consistent and optimised exposure to ultraviolet radiation, even at extremely high turnover rates.

Triple Lamp Control for Maximum Flexibility

The 180W model operates using 3 x 60W UV lamps, each of which can be switched independently. This allows you to tailor UV output to seasonal demand. During winter, you can run fewer lamps to reduce electricity consumption and extend bulb life. During peak summer algae season, all three lamps can operate simultaneously to deliver maximum green water control.

The Bitron Premium 180W eliminates unicellular algae responsible for green water. In addition, it reduces harmful bacteria and pathogens, supporting stronger fish health and improved overall water clarity. Because of its long retention time and flow optimised reactor design, it provides significantly more effective sterilisation than standard plastic UV clarifiers.

Designed for direct connection to Oase ProfiClear gravity fed or pump fed drum filters, the Bitron Premium 180W integrates seamlessly into high flow filtration systems. It is suitable for:

UV sizing and maintenance notes

Oase Bitron Premium 180 W UVC should be matched to the pond volume, flow rate and water clarity problem you are trying to solve. UV clarification works best when water passes the lamp at a suitable speed and the quartz sleeve is kept clean. If the flow is too fast, contact time can be reduced. If the lamp is old or the quartz sleeve is dirty, performance can drop even when the unit still appears to be switched on.

• Replace UV lamps as part of routine seasonal maintenance.
• Clean or inspect the quartz sleeve when water clarity starts to deteriorate.
• Match the UV to the pump and filter rather than installing it in isolation.
• Allow safe access for lamp changes and winter maintenance.

Good UV performance also depends on mechanical filtration. Removing fine debris before the UV helps the lamp work on green water algae more effectively.
