Pressure Cleaning Pump for Filtreau Drum Filters
Pressure washing for the Filtreau drum screen
The T.I.P. GP 3000 INOX supplies the pressure needed to wash the screen on the standard Filtreau gravity-fed drum and pump-fed drum. It is the cleaning pump for the spray system, not the circulation pump that moves water around the pond.
Those standard drum models include their controller, drum motor, spray bar and 40W amalgam UV-C, but their pressure-cleaning pump is separate. Adding this pump completes that part of the equipment list when the installation is designed for an external pressure pump.
What happens during a drum rinse
The filter controller starts the cleaning cycle when screen loading changes the water level. The drum rotates and this pump sends water to the spray nozzles, washing trapped debris into the waste channel. A circulation pump with a high litres/hour rating does not necessarily produce the pressure that this job requires.
The GP 3000 INOX has a 550W motor, stainless-steel pump housing and 1-inch female suction and discharge ports. Its self-priming jet design still requires correct filling and installation: self-priming does not mean safe to run dry.
Understanding the performance figures
Maximum flow is 2,950 litres/hour and maximum pressure is 4.2 bar. These are separate ends of the pump’s performance curve, not a promise that it delivers maximum flow at maximum pressure. The installed operating point depends on the cleaning circuit and its resistance.
Use pressure-rated pipework and fittings suitable for the rinse system. Keep the suction supply reliable and allow appropriate isolation for maintenance. The pump needs a dry, sheltered installation; it is not a submersible pond pump and should not be placed in the pond or submerged inside a filter chamber.

Checking compatibility before ordering
The pressure pump is supplied on its own; connection fittings and valves need to suit your installation. Check your filter model and existing cleaning arrangement before buying, particularly for a NEXT, AFTER, HF30 or Excellent filter rather than one of the standard drums linked above.
Many combis already have an internal wash pump, so an extra external pump should not be added automatically. If replacing a failed pump, inspect the water supply and cleaning circuit as well: a dry-running or blocked installation can damage a replacement too.
Follow the pump and filter instructions for filling, siting and safe electrical connection. Isolate power before maintenance and keep the pump protected from frost and water ingress. The correct installation is what turns a compatible pump into a reliable drum-cleaning system.
