The Oase ProfiClear Premium Compact L Gravity Fed Drum Filter OC is a high performance self cleaning filtration system engineered for koi ponds and ornamental ponds up to 35 cubic metres. As a result, it delivers exceptional water clarity while maintaining stable biological balance.

By integrating a stainless steel drum screen with Hel X 13 moving bed biological media, the Compact L provides both immediate debris removal and continuous pollutant breakdown. Therefore, it is particularly well suited to dedicated koi ponds where water quality and stability are critical.

Intelligent Drum Technology with Integrated Moving Bed Filtration

At the core of the system sits a 60 micron stainless steel drum screen. As water flows by gravity from bottom drains and skimmers into the drum chamber, the screen captures solid waste, uneaten food and fine suspended particles. Consequently, mechanical filtration occurs before water enters the biological stage.

When debris accumulation begins to restrict flow, the integrated controller activates the automatic cleaning cycle. High pressure spray jets then rinse the drum surface and flush collected sludge into the waste channel. As a result, the system continues operating without manual cleaning or interruption.

Following mechanical filtration, water enters the integrated moving bed chamber filled with Hel X 13 bio media. This high surface area media supports beneficial bacteria growth, which breaks down ammonia, ammonium and nitrite. Therefore, biological filtration remains efficient even under higher stocking densities.

The unit includes a digital control system with temperature display for accurate monitoring. In addition, it is fully compatible with the Oase Control system, allowing app based monitoring and adjustments. Furthermore, the insulated housing reduces operational noise, making it ideal for residential garden installations.
