The SuperFish TopClear 15000 combines a pressure filter with a built-in 11W UVC. It is the filter-only option for a system with a separately selected pond pump, using foam to collect debris and Bio-balls as a surface for filter bacteria.

Choosing the right capacity

The 15,000-litre figure is the manufacturer’s maximum pond-volume rating. Assess the fish stock, feeding, sunlight and required circulation before selecting a filter. A pond with a substantial koi load can require considerably more filtration than the same volume of lightly stocked ornamental pond water.

Plan the installation

The filter measures 35 x 44 x 58cm. Leave room above and around it to reach the lid, hose connections and maintenance parts. Check the route for the inlet, return and cleaning outlet before deciding where the filter will sit.

Pump and hose selection

The pump is supplied separately. Respect the listed 5,000 L/h maximum pump capacity and choose a pump suitable for the complete installation, including lift, hose length and restrictions. A higher headline pump flow is not automatically a better match.

Cleaning the filter

The flow indicator helps you see when flow has reduced, and Auto Clean Wash provides a backwashing route for removing accumulated waste. Backwashing does not remove the need for periodic inspection and servicing. The backwash outlet valve is an optional accessory; follow the supplied instructions when using the cleaning outlet.

Caring for the biological media

Foam and Bio-balls perform different jobs. Follow the SuperFish manual for cleaning each part; it specifies pond water for the Bio-balls to help preserve established bacteria. Monitor pond water after major filter maintenance while the biological system settles.

UVC maintenance and model checks

The integrated lamp is 11W. Match replacement lamps, quartz parts and electrics to the exact TopClear model and its red-lock or green-lock generation. Isolate the equipment before servicing and follow the manual supplied with your unit.

What to check before ordering

This is the pressure filter with integrated UVC. It does not include a pond pump. If you need a combined pump-and-filter package, compare the TopClear kit version before ordering.
