The PondXpert SpinClean 40000 Filter 55w UVC is the largest and most powerful model in the SpinClean pressurised filter range, designed for very large garden ponds, koi ponds, and heavily stocked fish ponds where high performance filtration is essential. Suitable for ponds up to 40000 litres, this filter is built to handle high flow rates, increased waste loads, and demanding pond environments while remaining straightforward to maintain.

A standout feature of the SpinClean 40000 is its proven easy clean backflush system. Traditional large pond filters often require time consuming maintenance involving opening the unit and manually cleaning dirty foams. With the SpinClean design, all cleaning is carried out externally. When the built in cleaning indicator shows that maintenance is required, you simply turn the blue dial to clean and rotate the handle to agitate the internal foams. This loosens trapped debris, which is then flushed out through the dedicated waste outlet when the pump is running. Once the water runs clear, the dial is returned to pond mode and the filter continues operating as normal. This makes regular maintenance quick, clean, and far more manageable on larger pond systems.

The integrated 55 watt UVC provides powerful green water control for high volume ponds. As water passes through the unit, the UVC targets free floating algae, causing microscopic algae cells to clump together so they can be captured by the filtration foams. This helps maintain excellent water clarity and supports a healthier pond environment throughout the year. The UVC bulb is supplied with the filter, allowing it to be installed and used straight away.

Internally, the SpinClean 40000 uses a large capacity filtration chamber fitted with graduated coarse and fine foams to provide effective mechanical filtration. The increased chamber size allows for higher flow rates while maintaining sufficient contact time to trap debris efficiently. As a pressurised pond filter, the unit can be installed away from the pond edge and partially buried if required, giving greater flexibility when planning pond layouts and landscaping.
