Pontec PondoFall creates a clean sheet of returning water without the cost or visual weight of a large stainless-steel blade. The black weather-resistant body can be disguised behind stone, timber or blockwork so the water appears to emerge naturally from the finished edge. Choose the unlit PondoFall for a simple daytime cascade, or PondoFall LED for an illuminated sheet of water after dark.

The important figure is the flow that reaches the outlet after pipe friction and vertical lift, not the pump’s zero-head maximum. The standard model works across approximately 1,000-4,000 litres per hour; the LED version needs approximately 2,000-6,000 litres per hour. A flow near the upper end normally produces a fuller sheet, while installation level, clean internal surfaces and an even inlet also affect the result.

Planning the pump and pipework

• Measure the vertical rise from operating water level to the outlet.
• Include the resistance of the complete hose run, fittings, valves and UV or filter.
• Use the largest practical pipe bore and swept bends to preserve flow.
• Fit an accessible flow-control valve if the selected pump can exceed the desired sheet.
• Provide isolation and a route for draining or winter maintenance.

Installing the LED model safely

PondoFall LED uses 24 warm-white LEDs and a low-voltage 12V safety transformer with approximately 2m plus 8m of cable. Keep the transformer and every mains connection in the position specified by the instructions; low-voltage lighting does not make an improvised outdoor mains joint safe. Route cables before the coping is fixed and leave enough access to remove the light or outlet later.

Frequently asked questions

Can I build the PondoFall into a wall?

Yes, provided the body is supported, level and still accessible for cleaning or replacement. Do not allow mortar or adhesive to distort the outlet lip.

Does it include a pump?

No. Select a pump from the required delivered flow at the real installation head.

Can the water be returned from a filter?

Yes if the filter outlet can deliver the required gravity or pumped flow without backing up. Check the filter manufacturer’s permitted return arrangement.

Why is the sheet uneven?

Check that the outlet is level, the pump and pipe deliver enough flow, and the internal channel is clear of scale, algae and trapped debris.
