The Oase ProfiClear Premium pump fed discharge kit, product number 50949, is the genuine outlet adapter used when a pump fed ProfiClear Premium modular filter needs to operate without the Individual Module. It can be fitted to the final compatible module or directly to the pump fed drum filter when the drum is used as a standalone mechanical filter.
In a pump fed layout, the filter pump lifts pond water into the filter and the clean water returns to the pond by gravity. The outlet height matters because it establishes the working water level inside the module. This kit creates the necessary raised outlet path while keeping the installation compact and avoiding the cost and footprint of an Individual Module that is not otherwise required.
This is a specialist connection set rather than a complete filter module. It does not contain biological media, a pump or return pipework. Use the full
Oase ProfiClear Premium Discharge Module L
when the system needs the additional ClearWave biological stage as well as a final return module.
Where the discharge kit fits in the system
The kit belongs at the end of a pump fed ProfiClear Premium L modular line. Typical uses include a
ProfiClear Premium DF L pump fed drum filter
operating on its own, or a system where the drum is followed by a
ProfiClear Premium Moving Bed Module L
but not by the
Individual Module L
.
Oase explains that the raised section lets the water settle at the correct height inside the connected filter containers. Without the correct outlet arrangement, a pump fed drum filter may not hold the intended operating level. The kit therefore performs an important hydraulic job even though it is much smaller than the main filter equipment.
What is included
- Two formed outlet pipe bends for the raised return path
- Two DN 110 outlet adapters
- Stainless steel holding plate that supports and aligns the outlet assembly
- Required assembly hardware supplied as part of the genuine Oase set
External DN 110 return pipe, extra bends, valves, wall fittings and installation labour are not included. These need to be selected around the actual distance, fall and return position at the pond.
Important compatibility checks
- Use only on a pump fed ProfiClear Premium modular installation. It is not the outlet solution for a gravity fed filter line.
- Confirm the exact filter model before ordering. ProfiClear Premium Compact and ProfiClear Premium XL equipment use different constructions and accessories.
- When the kit is fitted directly to the drum module, Oase requires the existing DN 150 outlets to be changed to the supplied DN 110 adapters.
- The drum must be removed during direct fitting so the seals and fixings can be installed and tightened correctly.
- The return pipe must continue to the pond with a dependable fall and enough capacity to accept the full commissioned filter flow.
Plan the return route carefully
A gravity return should not be treated like a pumped pressure line. Keep the route as short and direct as the site allows, support the pipe properly and avoid high points where air can collect. Every unnecessary bend, reduction or uphill section reduces the return capacity and can change the water level in the filter.
Before fitting, establish the finished pond water level, the base height of the filter and the level of the return entry. The raised discharge set controls the water inside the module, but the external pipe still needs a continuous route back to the pond. If the filter bay is tight, draw the layout at scale before drilling, gluing or committing to the base height.

Installation and maintenance advice
Installation involves opening the filter and, when connecting directly to the drum module, removing the drum to replace the original outlets. Follow the current Oase instructions for the exact filter model. Keep seals clean, tighten the fixings evenly and pressure test the connection before the filter bay is enclosed or the return becomes difficult to reach.
Once the system is running, inspect the adapter joints and supporting plate during normal drum maintenance. Check that the return remains clear and that the working level inside the module has not changed. A rising water level, slow return or unusual cycling can indicate a restriction downstream rather than a problem with the drum screen itself.
Frequently asked questions
What does the Oase ProfiClear Premium pump fed discharge kit do?
It raises the final outlet path so a pump fed ProfiClear Premium modular system can maintain its required working water level without an Individual Module at the end of the filter line.
Can it be fitted directly to the drum filter?
Yes. Oase states that the set can be fitted directly to the pump fed ProfiClear Premium drum filter module when that module is used on its own.
Can it be fitted after a Moving Bed Module?
Yes. It is designed for the last compatible module in a pump fed ProfiClear Premium modular line, including a layout that finishes with the Moving Bed Module.
Is this the same as the ProfiClear Premium Discharge Module L?
No. The Discharge Module L is a full filter module with ClearWave biological media. Product 50949 is a compact outlet adapter set and does not add biological filtration.
Is this suitable for a gravity fed system?
No. This set is specifically for a pump fed installation. Gravity fed ProfiClear systems use a different water level and outlet arrangement.
Does it fit the ProfiClear Premium Compact M or Compact L?
Do not assume that it does. This set is listed for the ProfiClear Premium modular pump fed system. Compact models have their own integrated layout and compatible accessories.
What connection size does the set use?
The Oase installation guidance describes two pipe bends with DN 110 outlet adapters and a holding plate. The existing DN 150 outlets on the drum module are changed during fitting.
Does fitting require the filter drum to be removed?
Yes when fitting the set directly to the drum filter. Oase instructs the installer to remove the drum so the original outlets can be changed and the adapters fastened correctly.
Does the kit include return pipework to the pond?
No. The adapter set terminates at the raised outlets. DN 110 return pipe, bends, supports and any additional fittings must be planned for the actual filter bay and pond return.
Can you check whether I need this kit?
Yes. Send a photograph or simple drawing showing the exact ProfiClear model, the order of the modules, the proposed final outlet and the return route. We can then check whether this adapter or a full discharge module is the correct choice.
Build the rest of the ProfiClear system
Pair this discharge kit with the correct
pump fed ProfiClear Premium drum filter
and add the
Moving Bed Module L
when more biological capacity is required. Choose the
Individual Module L
instead when the installation needs a dedicated final pump and UVC chamber, or the
Discharge Module L
when a complete final biological module is the better fit.
