In-Lite SHIELD 2 Glare Guard for SCOPE and BIG SCOPE
SHIELD 2 is the larger one-sided glare guard for compatible SCOPE-family spotlights. It screens the LED from the principal viewing direction while allowing the beam to illuminate the tree, facade, hedge or garden feature beyond it.
How this accessory improves the light
Clip SHIELD 2 onto the lens and rotate the covered side towards the terrace, path or window from which the source is visible. It is particularly useful when a good beam position still leaves the fitting just inside a normal eye line. Confirm the result at night from all regular approaches.
Compatibility and important limits
SHIELD 2 is suitable for SCOPE, BIG SCOPE, BIG SCOPE NARROW and SMART SCOPE TONE. Use SHIELD 1 for MINI SCOPE.

Complete the spotlight installation
Raise compatible lights above planting with RISER 1 or RISER 2.
Test the light after dark before completing the cable route or planting around it. Glare control and riser height are easiest to judge from the real viewing positions in the finished garden.
Position the beam for the feature, not the fitting
Use In-Lite SHIELD 2 Glare Guard for SCOPE and BIG SCOPE to light the face and structure of the subject rather than simply aiming at its base. Move the trial position around the tree, sculpture, wall or planting after dark; a small change in distance or angle can produce more depth and much less glare. Where the source can be seen from a path or seat, a compatible shield or honeycomb accessory is usually worth considering.
For larger trees, two restrained beams from different positions generally look more natural than one fitting driven at the limit of its reach. Keep the cable and EASY-LOCK accessible so the aiming position can still be adjusted as planting matures.
