The sealed pressure vessel allows filtered water to be pumped back to the pond at height. This makes the FiltoClear 60000 ideal for raised waterfalls, streams and elevated return points without compromising flow rate or filtration efficiency. The housing is rated to operate at pressures up to 1.5 bar, allowing confident use with higher output pumps.

Filtration Performance and Maintenance

An integrated 84 watt UV clarifier provides strong green water control by targeting suspended algae cells before they can cloud the pond. The UV unit is designed for straightforward servicing, allowing access without dismantling the entire filter body or interrupting circulation for extended periods.

Internally, the filter uses a multi stage foam system arranged in quadrant sections. Coarse, medium and fine foams trap debris progressively, ensuring effective mechanical filtration before water passes through the biological stage. Even water distribution reduces the risk of channel formation and supports long term filtration stability.

With a maximum flow capacity of 20000 litres per hour, the FiltoClear 60000 features two 2 inch inlets and two 2 inch outlets. Maintenance is simple and hygienic thanks to the patented internal cleaning mechanism. Using the external cleaning handle, the foam quadrants are compressed, releasing trapped debris which is discharged through a dedicated waste outlet. There is no need to remove or manually rinse dirty foams, and waste water can be directed to a drain or reused in garden borders.

For discreet installations, the filter can be buried in the ground up to the filter head, allowing it to blend into landscaped gardens while keeping all controls fully accessible.

UV sizing and maintenance notes

Oase FiltoClear 60000 Pressurised Pond Filter should be matched to the pond volume, flow rate and water clarity problem you are trying to solve. UV clarification works best when water passes the lamp at a suitable speed and the quartz sleeve is kept clean. If the flow is too fast, contact time can be reduced. If the lamp is old or the quartz sleeve is dirty, performance can drop even when the unit still appears to be switched on.

• Replace UV lamps as part of routine seasonal maintenance.
• Clean or inspect the quartz sleeve when water clarity starts to deteriorate.
• Match the UV to the pump and filter rather than installing it in isolation.
