Kusuri Sinking is a complete sinking koi pellet containing 33% protein and 12% oils and fats. It provides an alternative feeding position to the floating foods in the range and has specific seasonal transition instructions. A sinking pellet does not remove the need to monitor appetite: place modest portions where you can observe the fish and check that food is being eaten before adding more.

Monitoring a sinking ration through the seasons

Kusuri’s Sinking formula contains 33% protein and 12% oils and fats. Sinking pellets require closer observation of the pond floor because food can remain uneaten out of sight. The manufacturer describes limited cold-season feeding and once-daily feeding above 12°C in spring and summer, with gradual mixing when changing seasonal foods. Its ten-minute clearance guidance still applies: avoid adding another portion before you have checked that the previous one has been eaten. Feed only when the fish are active and reduce the ration as their response slows.

Feeding and Storage Guide

• Feed according to water temperature, fish activity and biological filter maturity.
• Offer small amounts that are cleared quickly, rather than leaving uneaten food in the pond.
• Take extra care with sinking food because uneaten pellets are harder to see and remove.
• Reduce feeding if ammonia, nitrite or water clarity deteriorate after feeding.
• Store sealed in a cool, dry place away from damp, pests and direct sunlight.
