Choosing Kusuri Koi Food
Choose the formula first, then the pack. Kusuri Growth is intended for warm-water feeding above 20°C. Premium and Multiseason have their own feeding guidance and Kōso directions. If applying a Kōso liquid, follow the exact product’s dose: instructions for different liquid versions are not interchangeable.

Build a feeding routine around the pond
Measure water temperature in the pond. Begin with small portions and watch what is eaten before adding more. Reduce feeding when appetite falls or water quality deteriorates. Increase the ration gradually as conditions improve, particularly after a quiet winter period or a change to the filter.
Check that smaller or quieter fish receive food as well as the most active feeders. For sinking food, observe the area below the surface. Count any treats within the daily ration and remove uneaten food.
Pack size and freshness
Choose a quantity that can be used while fresh. A larger pack is useful only if it suits the feeding rate and can be stored correctly. Litres measure volume and kilograms measure weight; compare declared food weights where possible. Keep food sealed, cool and dry, use a dry scoop and follow the pack’s best-before date.

What are Kusuri Koso products used for?
They are separate food-coating products. Dosage depends on the named Koso product: P5/X5 and P10/X10 have different application quantities. Follow that product’s directions and the guidance on storing coated food.
Can Kōso-treated pellets go in an automatic feeder?
Follow the coating product’s drying and storage instructions first. Only load dry, free-flowing pellets in a compatible feeder; damp or clumped food can dispense unevenly. Check several measured portions after changing the food or its preparation.
Which Kusuri food feeds below the surface?
Kusuri Sinking Pellet is the separate sinking ornamental food. Observe the feeding area so the intended fish receive it, particularly where koi can intercept food meant for sturgeon, sterlet or other bottom-feeding fish.
