SMART BRIDGE connects a compatible In-Lite SMART lighting system to the internet and supported home-automation platforms. Without it, normal app control is local over Bluetooth; with SMART BRIDGE, the lighting can be operated remotely, firmware updates can be delivered efficiently and the garden can become part of a wider smart-home routine.

Compatibility: choose the correct In-Lite control system

A compatible In-Lite SMART HUB and the In-Lite app are required. Current manufacturer information supports Matter, KNX, Google Home, Apple HomeKit and Amazon Alexa, with In-Lite also announcing Control4 integration in 2026. Platform features and third-party requirements can change, so update the In-Lite app, SMART BRIDGE and SMART HUB firmware before commissioning an integration.

Where and how to install it

Install SMART BRIDGE indoors, close to the internet router. It can be mounted vertically on a wall and includes a 0.5m Ethernet cable for a reliable fixed network connection. Add it as an accessory in the In-Lite app before linking it to the chosen smart-home platform. The enclosure is IP23 and is not an outdoor garden accessory.

Practical setup advice

Remote control is useful for checking or changing lighting when away from home, but the greatest benefit is often automation. An arrival routine can coordinate garden lights with the house; a voice command can switch an entertaining scene; and Matter can provide a common route into supported ecosystems. Keep critical path lighting on sensible schedules rather than making safe access dependent on a voice assistant or internet service.

Connection, power and system planning

SMART BRIDGE requires indoor power and an Ethernet connection near the router. It does not increase transformer capacity, extend the 12V/21V cable run or improve the lighting load. Those remain functions of the selected SMART HUB and the physical In-Lite cable plan.

This accessory does not replace a correctly sized transformer, suitable In-Lite system cable or a coherent lighting plan. Start by deciding which lights should operate together, then select the correct HUB and control accessories for those zones.
