In-Lite MOVE Wired Motion Detector

MOVE is the wired motion detector for compatible non-smart In-Lite HUB transformers. It automatically brings selected garden lighting on when somebody approaches, which can improve visibility around an entrance, side passage, driveway or path without leaving those lights running continuously.

Compatibility: choose the correct In-Lite control system

MOVE is designed for HUB-50, HUB-75 and HUB-100. It plugs into the transformer with its dedicated connector and is configured using the motion-detection controls on the HUB. It is not the motion sensor for a SMART HUB; choose SMART MOVE for a compatible smart installation.

Where and how to install it

Fix the detector flat against a hard vertical surface at a height of roughly 1.8–2m. The sensor can then be angled downwards to cover the approach rather than the whole surrounding road or garden. In-Lite states a detection area of about ten metres, 105 degrees horizontally and 40 degrees vertically. Actual performance will depend on the route, mounting angle, obstructions and movement across the field of view.

Practical setup advice

Aim the detector so people move across its view, not directly towards it from a long distance. Exclude swaying plants, public pavements and busy roads where possible. The lighting-on duration can be set to 1, 3 or 9 minutes. Use the shortest period that gives comfortable passage; longer operation is useful where somebody needs time to unlock a door, park or move equipment.

Connection, power and system planning

MOVE includes a two-metre cable. Extend it only with the dedicated MOVE-EXT CORD 5, using up to four extensions for a maximum total extension of twenty metres. The MOVE extension lead is a sensor cable and must not be used to extend an In-Lite light fitting.

This accessory does not replace a correctly sized transformer, suitable In-Lite system cable or a coherent lighting plan. Start by deciding which lights should operate together, then select the correct HUB and control accessories for those zones.
