The In-Lite SMART HUB PROTECTOR 2 is the larger purpose-made weather cover for the SMART HUB-300. Its durable moulded housing adds protection from precipitation when the transformer cannot be installed in the preferred fully covered location.

Choose PROTECTOR 2 specifically for SMART HUB-300

The SMART HUB-300 differs physically and electrically from SMART HUB-150. SMART HUB PROTECTOR 2 is designed for the 300VA, 21V model; the standard SMART HUB PROTECTOR is for SMART HUB-150. It is not interchangeable with covers for HUB-75 or legacy HUB transformers.

Fit the cover over a correctly mounted transformer while maintaining the required clearance, height above ground and access for cable connections and servicing. The protector adds a weather barrier but does not turn an incorrectly positioned transformer into a maintenance-free outdoor enclosure.

Add the published VA load of every light on the circuit, allow sensible spare capacity and then decide whether simple timed switching or app-based control is required. Cable length, cable section and the number of branches also affect how neatly the system can be installed.
