Restore automatic dusk switching on a compatible HUB

The In-Lite LIGHT SENSOR HUB is a genuine replacement ambient-light sensor for compatible conventional In-Lite HUB transformers. It allows the transformer to recognise when daylight has fallen so the selected dusk and timer programme can begin automatically.

A replacement system component, not a standalone switch

This part connects to the dedicated light-sensor input on a compatible HUB. It does not connect to the 12V system cable and it does not power or control an individual light directly. Before ordering, compare the transformer model and sensor connection with the original component.

Positioning matters

Mount the sensor where it receives representative outdoor daylight, following the transformer manual. Avoid a position illuminated by the garden lights it controls, car headlights or a bright indoor window, as artificial light can delay or interrupt switching. Do not cover the sensor or hide it in a permanently dark enclosure.

Compatibility note

Current SMART HUB systems use an astronomical clock and app routines rather than this separate light sensor. If the installation uses a SMART HUB-150 or SMART HUB-300, this is not the correct control component. Contact us with a photograph of the transformer label if the model is uncertain.
