GRIP 3 is the genuine In-Lite mounting base designed for the AIM FLOOR modular light. It turns the separate AIM FLOOR lighting assembly into a stable freestanding accent light for terraces, paving, decking and other firm outdoor surfaces where a conventional ground spike is unsuitable.

This is a mechanical base only: it contains no LED and has no electrical load of its own. It should be ordered with the AIM FLOOR without base, or used as a replacement/additional base where the compatible lighting assembly is already available.

Why use the correct base?

A directional floor spotlight needs enough stability to remain aimed correctly after cleaning, weather and normal activity around a terrace. GRIP 3 is shaped and weighted for the AIM FLOOR assembly, giving a neater and more reliable result than an improvised third-party stand.

Choose the right AIM FLOOR option

Buy this separate GRIP 3 when you already have the AIM FLOOR without base or need an additional genuine base. Choose the complete AIM FLOOR with GRIP 3 if you require both parts together. The base itself does not connect to a transformer; all lighting and VA calculations relate to the AIM FLOOR light head.

Position the beam for the feature, not the fitting

Use In-Lite GRIP 3 Base for AIM FLOOR to light the face and structure of the subject rather than simply aiming at its base. Move the trial position around the tree, sculpture, wall or planting after dark; a small change in distance or angle can produce more depth and much less glare. Where the source can be seen from a path or seat, a compatible shield or honeycomb accessory is usually worth considering.

For larger trees, two restrained beams from different positions generally look more natural than one fitting driven at the limit of its reach. Keep the cable and EASY-LOCK accessible so the aiming position can still be adjusted as planting matures.
