Plan for access and future maintenance

Before final fixing, test the complete light and connection and make sure the accessory can still be reached without damaging paving, planting or the finished surface. Original In-Lite components are designed as a system, but lamps, connections and mechanical parts must remain replaceable. Photographing the cable and fitting position before covering the surrounding area can save considerable investigation later.

Do not use this mechanical accessory to compensate for the wrong cut-out, an unstable substrate or a fitting outside its stated application. If the installation detail differs from the In-Lite manual, pause and confirm the correct combination before modifying either component.

Set out recessed lighting before the surface is finished

For In-Lite BOX 100 Recessed-Light Accessory, confirm the cut-out, recess depth, drainage and material thickness from the current installation drawing before drilling. Recessed lights are most convincing when their spacing follows the paving, step or deck geometry and the source is not directly in the normal line of sight.

Dry-lay the fittings and cable route first, then test the effect after dark. Do not bury an EASY-LOCK or other serviceable connection where it cannot be reached without lifting a finished surface.
