This open stainless steel blade is designed for a gravity-fed return from a filter or raised water chamber into the pond. The broad inlet connects to the return pipework, allowing water to enter the open chamber and spill over the lip. It is particularly useful where the return must pass through or over a wall. Check the entire return route, available head and filter requirements when choosing the inlet size.

Choose the right size and connection

Available outlet sizes on this page: 200, 300, 400, 500, 600mm. Select the exact option above before adding it to your basket.

The body is 2mm stainless steel and the back flange is 3mm, with a brushed finish. The inlet uses a plain pipe connection and a suitable rubber coupling, rather than a BSP screw-in hosetail. Match the coupling to the actual outside diameter of your pipe.

Before making a fixed opening: ask us to confirm the complete body footprint and inlet clearances for your selected size. Spout projection is not the overall front-to-back dimension.

Plan the installation

Support the unit securely and level the outlet from side to side. Make the junction with the chamber watertight using a sealant suitable for the pond materials and aquatic use. Keep the outlet and pipework accessible for inspection. Before completing the finish, run the system and check for leaks, uneven flow, backing-up and splashing.

Pump selection and water flow

These are the supplier’s starting ranges, not guaranteed flow capacities for each inlet. Check pump delivery at the actual lift, filter limits and the gravity return arrangement together. Do not throttle a filter’s required return simply to change the waterfall appearance.

Care and seasonal use

Wipe the stainless steel regularly with a soft cloth and remove deposits before they build up. Avoid chlorine-based cleaners; stainless steel can stain or corrode, particularly with salt exposure. Keep cleaning residues out of the pond. If shutting the feature down for winter, drain and dry the blade and exposed pipework.

Pumps, reservoirs and surrounding landscaping shown in installation photographs are not included with the blade.
