Burtons Growth Food

Burtons Growth Food

6 mm floating pellets for water above 18°C

Burtons Growth is a floating koi pellet with 40% protein and 7% fat. It is intended for the growing period, with the manufacturer specifying water above 18°C. The 6 mm pellet makes it a practical option for koi able to take that size comfortably. Compare both fat and protein when selecting a growth food: the word Growth alone does not describe how rich a formula is.

Pack choice and feeding

This listing offers 12kg, 5kg packs. Use the selector to check the current price and availability for the required option. Choose a pack that you can use while the food is fresh.

Offer smaller portions through the day, guided by appetite and water quality. Increase the overall ration gradually as the pond warms and the filter can support it. Growth feeding should be reduced if uneaten pellets remain or water tests deteriorate.

Keeping food fresh and monitoring the pond

Keep the pack sealed in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Use a clean, dry scoop and keep pond water out of the food. Check water quality when increasing feed or changing the feeding routine, and respond to uneaten food rather than following a fixed scoop count regardless of conditions.
