Replacement filter foam and polymer wool pads for your InPond filter

Blagdon InPond Maintenance Kits provide replacement mechanical filter media for selected InPond all-in-one pond filters. Each kit contains one filter foam set and six polymer wool filter pads. There are three different kits in this range: one for the InPond 5 in 1 2000, one for the InPond 5 in 1 3000, and one shared by the InPond 5 in 1 6000 and 6 in 1 9000. Select the kit for the exact model printed on your equipment.

These packs are useful when you need to renew worn filter foam or keep replacement fine filter pads ready for servicing. Buying the correctly matched kit avoids trying to adapt a different model’s foam to the filter chamber. The product photographs show the individual manufacturer packs, and selecting a model displays its corresponding pack image.

Which InPond maintenance kit do I need?

Check the complete model name, including whether it says 5 in 1, 6 in 1, 4 in 1 or All in One. The number alone is not enough to identify every older InPond model. In particular, an older InPond All in One 3000 uses a different kit from the InPond 5 in 1 3000. The compatibility information below helps distinguish those generations.

Compatibility with older InPond and Affinity models

The manufacturer packaging for part 1054928 also lists the InPond All in One 1400 and InPond 4 in 1 1450. The packaging for part 1054775 also lists the InPond All in One 3000 and InPond 4 in 1 3250. For either of these older units, choose by the complete name and corresponding part number above, rather than selecting a kit simply because its headline number looks familiar.

Blagdon also lists part 1054690 for the Affinity View Octagon and Affinity View Half Moon. If equipment has been replaced since the pond was installed, identify the filter currently fitted before ordering. A pond’s shape or brand does not by itself establish which replacement media it now needs. If the equipment label is unclear, send us a photograph and we can help check the choice.

What the foam and polymer wool do

The foam and polymer wool are the replaceable mechanical media within the filter. They are separate from the ceramic biological media, pump and UV clarifier. The pack supplies replacement foam and wool pads; it does not include a complete filter, pump, UV lamp, ceramic media or replacement electrical components.

The six wool pads give you replacements to keep for subsequent servicing. Keep unused pads clean and dry in their packaging so they are ready when needed. When fitting media, follow the arrangement in your model’s instructions and compare it with the original components before removing them. Check that the selected pack code matches the model you intended to order before opening it.

Cleaning and replacing the filter media

Blagdon’s InPond 2000 manual explains that reduced fountain or feature flow can indicate a blocked filter. It allows the foam to be cleaned in a bucket of water and recommends replacing the polymer wool pad when blocked. It also specifies occasional rinsing of the separate ceramic biological media in pond water to protect the beneficial bacteria. Use the instructions supplied with your particular model for its maintenance procedure.

Disconnect the electricity before handling or servicing the unit, and lift it by the body rather than its cables. Refit the media in its correct position and secure the filter lid before returning the unit to service. Check the resulting flow after maintenance. If the flow remains poor, consult the model’s troubleshooting instructions instead of assuming that another new pad will resolve every possible cause.
