Auto backwash kit for Large Superbead
The Air-Aqua automatic backwash kit converts a compatible Large SuperBead installation from a manual cleaning routine to a timed automatic rinse sequence. It operates the system so accumulated waste is purged regularly instead of relying on someone being present to carry out every backwash.
The SKS catalogue describes a two-plug arrangement in which the circulation pump stops during the rinse. A separate waste-water pump can be added where the drain cannot accept gravity discharge. This kit is for the Large SuperBead and should not be treated as a universal bead-filter controller.

Planning a safe automatic clean
Confirm the valve actuator, pump switching, waste capacity and water-replacement arrangement from the current Air-Aqua diagram. The waste route must accept the full cleaning discharge without backing up into the filter house.
Automatic cleaning does not eliminate inspection. Check the valve movement, air system, waste discharge and filter pressure regularly, and provide a manual isolation method for servicing or a control fault.
