Silver Label Aquarium Silicone is a high quality, fish safe silicone sealant specifically formulated for use in aquatic environments. This silicone adheres exceptionally well to clean, dry and grease free glass, creating a durable and waterproof bond once fully cured. It is commonly used for sealing glass joints, repairing small leaks, fixing internal baffles, and carrying out maintenance work on pond filter chambers, quarantine tanks and aquarium style pond systems. Once cured, the sealant is completely safe for fish, plants and other aquatic life.

Silver Label Aquarium Silicone is easy to apply and offers excellent flexibility once set, allowing it to cope with minor movement and vibration without cracking. For best structural strength, a triangular joint profile is recommended, and very thin layers should be avoided. This ensures a strong bond and long term reliability, particularly in areas that will be under constant water pressure.

After application, the silicone cures at a rate of approximately 1 to 2mm every 24 hours. It is essential that the sealant is fully cured before introducing water, fish or plants. Filling the pond, aquarium or tank too early may compromise the seal and reduce long term performance.

Excess silicone can be removed using white spirit, although this should only be done in a well ventilated area. As with all sealants, care should be taken during use. Keep away from children and avoid contact with eyes and skin. If accidental contact with eyes occurs, rinse thoroughly with clean water and seek medical advice if necessary.
