Gold Label Pond Liner Repair Patches

Gold Label Pond Liner Repair Patches provide a neat, flexible way to reinforce punctures, cuts and localised damage in compatible rubber and PVC pond liners. The black butyl patch material is supplied in three useful sizes, allowing you to cover the damaged area with a sensible margin rather than trying to bridge it with sealant alone.

For a dependable repair, the patch should be used with a compatible Gold Label pond sealant. The sealant forms the waterproof bond while the patch spreads the load beyond the damaged section and gives the repair greater physical support.

Choose the correct patch size

Small – 140 × 190mm: for small punctures and short cuts with room for a generous overlap.
Medium – 280 × 190mm: for longer damage or where a wider reinforced area is useful.
Large – 280 × 380mm: for larger localised repairs or awkward damaged sections requiring greater coverage.

How to plan a liner repair

Identify the complete damaged area and select a patch that extends well beyond it on every side. Where possible, lower the water level, clean the liner thoroughly and remove algae, sediment and grease. Round the patch corners before bonding if required, because sharp corners are more likely to lift. Apply the compatible sealant evenly, press the patch firmly into place and remove trapped air without squeezing all the sealant from the joint.

Follow the sealant instructions for application, curing and returning the pond to service. These patches are intended for compatible rubber and PVC pond liners; they should not be assumed suitable for Polyex, HDPE or LDPE liners. For major tears, failing seams, brittle liner or damage close to a structural fitting, a larger professional repair or liner replacement may be more reliable.
