AquaForte X45 Spraybond for Pond Liner and Underlay

AquaForte X45 is a fast-drying spray contact adhesive for installing and positioning compatible pond liners, underlay, fleece and stone-faced liner. The aerosol format spreads adhesive quickly across a broad area, making it useful on vertical faces, steps, corners and awkward contours where loose liner or fleece would otherwise move while the rest of the installation is being arranged.

It can be used on suitable dry, prepared substrates including concrete, wood and aluminium. The fine spray gives more even coverage than applying a thick bead from a cartridge and helps minimise hard ridges beneath the liner.

Where X45 is most useful

• Temporarily positioning liner and protective fleece during pond construction.
• Holding underlay against vertical walls, shelves and steps.
• Fixing compatible stone liner around streams and decorative pond edges.
• Bonding flexible landscaping materials to clean, dry construction surfaces.

Application guidance

Both surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dust, grease and loose material. Shake the can thoroughly, spray from approximately 30cm and allow the solvents to flash off for the stated open time before bringing the surfaces together. Align carefully: contact adhesives can grip rapidly once both coated faces touch. Apply firm, even pressure across the bond and allow the product to cure in accordance with the label.

X45 is intended for installation and positioning work; it is not an underwater leak-repair compound or a substitute for proper liner seaming materials. Confirm compatibility on a small hidden area first, particularly with an unfamiliar liner, coated surface or insulation material.

Safety

This is a flammable pressurised aerosol containing solvent. Use it outdoors or with excellent ventilation, keep it away from heat, flames and ignition sources, and wear suitable protective equipment.
