The PondXpert SpinClean 12000 Filter 13w UVC is a powerful pressurised pond filter designed for larger garden ponds where reliable filtration and simple maintenance are essential. Suitable for ponds up to 12000 litres, this model builds on the proven SpinClean design with increased capacity, stronger flow handling, and the addition of biological filtration media for improved water quality.

One of the biggest advantages of the SpinClean 12000 is its easy clean backflush system. Traditional pond filters often require lids to be removed and sponges to be handled by hand, which can be messy and time consuming. With the SpinClean system, maintenance is carried out externally. When the cleaning indicator shows it is time to clean, you turn the blue dial to clean, rotate the handle to agitate the internal foams, then switch the pump back on. Dirty water is flushed out through the dedicated waste outlet. Once the water runs clear, you return the dial to pond mode and normal filtration resumes. This makes regular maintenance quick, clean, and far less disruptive.

The built in 13 watt UVC plays a vital role in maintaining clear water by controlling green water algae. As water passes through the filter, the UVC causes microscopic algae to clump together so they can be trapped by the foams. This helps keep the pond looking clear and healthy throughout the season. The UVC bulb is included, so the filter is ready to install straight away. It is worth noting that models produced from 2019 onwards use a 13 watt single ended bulb, while older pre 2019 units require an 11 watt bulb.

Internally, the SpinClean 12000 offers a more advanced filtration setup than smaller models in the range. Alongside coarse and fine graduated foams, this filter also includes biological media positioned beneath the foams. This supports beneficial bacteria growth, helping to break down harmful waste and improve overall pond health, making it suitable for more heavily stocked ponds.

As a pressurised pond filter, the SpinClean 12000 can be installed away from the pond edge and partially buried if required. This provides excellent flexibility when designing or upgrading your pond layout, keeping equipment discreet while maximising landscaping opportunities.
