What this product does

SWAY CAP clips onto the full-size SWAY light head to change its appearance and place more emphasis on the planting or surface below. The light output of the fitting remains the same, but the cap changes how the source is seen from normal walking and seated positions. This is the full-size accessory: use MINI SWAY CAP for MINI SWAY.

Installation and design advice

Lay the relevant parts out and test the position before drilling, cutting or burying cable. Keep electrical joints accessible, preserve drainage around ground-level equipment and avoid placing a visible light source directly in a normal seated or walking sight line. On a 12V circuit, calculate transformer capacity from the stated VA load of the complete fittings rather than adding only LED wattage.

For 12V equipment, use genuine In-Lite system cable and the specified connection components so the circuit remains serviceable and the manufacturer system guarantee is protected.

Use spacing and viewing direction to avoid a runway effect

In-Lite SWAY CAP – Black is best positioned as part of the planting and route through the garden, not simply repeated at identical short intervals. Alternate positions where appropriate, use foliage to soften direct views of the source and leave enough space for the individual pools of light to breathe.

Check the fitting after dark from the house, main path and seating area before the cable is finally buried. This is also the right time to confirm that maintenance access and garden growth will not obstruct the light or connection.
