Replacement connector for the Excellent filter’s magnetic lid protection connection
This is the 2025-onwards version of the Filtreau Excellent two-pin male connector for the magnetic cover connection. Choose it when replacing the corresponding connector on an installation using that version. Check the actual connector as well as the equipment identification, especially if the control box or cover components have previously been replaced.
What the magnetic cover connection does
The Excellent control system uses magnetic cover protection to switch the control box off when the filter cover is removed. Its cover-protection connection is separate from the float connection used by the cleaning controls. Correctly identifying the affected connection helps you select the appropriate spare when investigating a damaged plug or connection fault.

Choosing the replacement
The connector version matters when selecting this spare. A two-pin layout identifies the number of contacts, but the housing and mating connection also need to match. Send us photographs of the old connector face and housing, together with the filter and control-box labels, so we can help check the replacement against your equipment.

Fitting and checking the repair
Disconnect the electrical supply before inspecting or replacing the connector. Have electrical repairs carried out by a suitably qualified person using the instructions for your equipment. Keep the lid protection system operational; it must not be bypassed to keep the filter running. Once the repair is complete, the installer should check the cover-protection operation before returning the filter to service.
