The Evolution Aqua EazyPod Automatic Green is a fully automated mechanical and biological pond filtration system designed for pond owners who want consistent water clarity without regular manual cleaning. Built around the proven EazyPod static K1 Micro system, this model combines efficient solids capture with intelligent automation.

Designed for garden ponds up to 20000 litres and koi ponds up to 10000 litres, the EazyPod Automatic Green delivers dependable filtration in a compact and space efficient format. Because the integrated control box manages the cleaning cycle automatically, the filter maintains performance even when you are away from home.

Unlike the Automatic UV versions, this model does not include a built in UV clarifier. Therefore, it suits ponds that already operate a separate UV unit or systems where green water control is handled independently.

How the Evolution Aqua EazyPod Automatic Green Works

First, pond water enters the outer chamber where heavier debris settles naturally at the base. This initial settlement stage immediately reduces the solids load entering the central filtration chamber.

Next, water flows through a stainless steel grill that captures larger suspended particles before allowing cleaner water to enter the K1 Micro chamber.

Inside the centre chamber, 18 litres of static K1 Micro media perform two essential functions:

• Mechanical filtration by trapping fine suspended solids
• Biological filtration by supporting nitrifying bacteria that actively convert ammonia and nitrite

Because the media remains static during normal operation, it captures fine waste efficiently while still providing a large surface area for beneficial bacteria.

When the programmed cleaning cycle begins, the integrated control box activates the internal air pump automatically. The air ring then agitates the K1 Micro media vigorously, dislodging trapped debris from the chamber.

At the same time, the motorised 1.5 inch waste valve opens and flushes contaminated water out of the unit. Once the cleaning cycle completes, the valve closes and the system immediately returns to normal filtration mode.

The factory setting runs a cleaning cycle approximately every three days and lasts around six and a half minutes. However, you can easily adjust the timer to suit stocking density and feeding levels.

This model operates as a pump fed system only.

Practical setup advice

Maintenance and compatibility checks

Hose size, pressure pipe, valves, unions, UV units, filter inlets, air manifolds, spares and cleaning access can all affect how well the final system works. A correctly matched installation usually performs better and is easier to maintain than one built from parts chosen separately.

• Match the pump flow to the filter and pond volume, allowing for head height and pipework losses.
• Keep unions, valves and waste outlets accessible for cleaning and maintenance.
• Use suitable hose, pressure pipe or DN discharge pipework where specified by the manufacturer.
• Check compatible UV bulbs, quartz sleeves, media and spare parts before the pond season starts.

Plan this product as part of the complete filtration layout, rather than as an isolated item. Check the recommended flow rate, inlet and outlet sizes, waste connection, access for cleaning and the space needed for routine servicing before installation.
