What this test tells you

Record pH consistently so that changes between readings are easier to spot. The value describes how acidic or alkaline the sample is; it is a different measurement from water hardness.

Taking and recording a reading

Use a clean sample container and follow the supplied instructions for the sample volume, reagent quantities and reading time. Record the date and result using the units shown in the instructions. Consistent sampling and careful timing make your own readings easier to compare.
