Installation advice from a pond specialist

• Place the pump on a stable base above loose silt so the intake does not immediately fill with debris.
• Set the fountain head level; a tilted stem gives an uneven display and can throw water outside a small pond.
• Keep the pump fully submerged and never allow it to run dry.
• Use the widest practical hose when feeding a filter, waterfall or separate feature.
• Clean the pre-filter when the fountain height or flow begins to drop rather than waiting for the pump to stop.
