AquaForte Impermax liquid polyurethane pond liner is part of the brush- or roller-applied pond-waterproofing system for concrete, mortar, ceramic and compatible GRP surfaces. The cured coating forms a seamless, elastic membrane that follows complex shapes without the folds of sheet liner.
Impermax is a professional coating system. Surface condition, moisture, primer choice, temperature, film thickness and curing time all affect the result, so the product should be planned as a complete specification rather than treated like ordinary masonry paint.

Preparation, coverage and curing
Prepare a clean, sound and correctly primed substrate. Remove laitance, dust, grease and unstable coatings, repair movement cracks and detail penetrations before the first waterproof coat. Carry out adhesion and moisture checks on an inconspicuous area when the substrate is uncertain.
The SKS catalogue guidance for the membrane calls for approximately 1.5–2kg/m² overall to create a 1.4–1.9mm cured membrane, applied in separate coats. A 2.5kg pail therefore covers only a small area at full system thickness. Never estimate from wall area alone: include shelves, floor, returns and detailing waste.
Our practical view: Impermax can create an excellent finish on awkward shapes, but it is unforgiving of casual preparation. We would calculate the full wetted area, include a sensible waste allowance and resolve every damp patch before ordering the coating.

Is it the same as pond paint?
No. The membrane is a specified polyurethane waterproofing system applied to a required total thickness.
